Good news. Really love Sony phone. My Z3 compact dropped many time against wall but has no sign of problems so far. The software is fast and smooth.

Amoled Screens are oversaturated with colors and drains battery much faster...

AnonD-412467, 24 Oct 2015KKK,agree with you. Many people(and analysts) would like to see Sony OFF. But why?your big cake will share with them, you will unhappy.....
I am actually waiting for a Z5 premium ultra or something like that. That 6.44" device with a snapdragon 820 and a 4k screen. Will they bring it back this time around? i will never buy apple as it is useless for me and i don't see samsung bringing anything new to the table to something like note series is out as that screen size is just a little small for me. That Z ultra was just up my alley, not too big to be a tablet and just small enough to use as a phone. I tried using tab s 8.4 as a phone, but that is just out right funny and impractical. Z ultra is the only phone till now that is prefect for me in terms of being both a phone and a tablet.
Android "flagships" are dead.

AnonD-205566, 23 Oct 2015I just don't get why sony doesn't usr AMOLED displays, at least in their top of the line offer... moreIPS displays are able to offer pretty comparable quality if implemented correctly, and can also be more efficient than AMOLED in a variety of usage scenarios (Sony's now legendary battery life in the Android market shows this). Plus they're still far less expensive than AMOLED. Although for the price, I guess we'd expect AMOELD to be in use, but I digress.
Something is very wrong here. The Z5 Premium is selling for $25,900 TWD in Taiwan, which is basically $797 USD. Nowhere close to $500 like mentioned in the article.
Funny how gsm selects what gets posted, and if lucky your opinion posts; most often it gets erased
I just don't get why sony doesn't usr AMOLED displays, at least in their top of the line offerings. People are suckers for those.

In my opinion the last phone that Sony got right was the Xperia Z2.. after that all their other flagships were so similar that there's no point in getting them. The Z2 was a good jump from the Z1s.. especially the camera, stereo speakers, better build, LED display (finally) lol. The Z5 doesn't wow me as much, they just added a fingerprint sensor and a better camera and that's it. It's left a lot of software stuff half baked.. I don't want them to sell their mobile division.. i want them to keep it and update their phones only once per year! That way they have more time to think of a better design, and improve the phone overall.. this 6 month update policy is getting a lot of users mad. Also it doesn't make sense to update twice per year.. especially if their flagships are pricey and don't include anything groundbreaking..
