I must move to America and make some money asap. This lawsuit thing is good money making machine. As soon i land in USA i will make lawsuit against Microsoft for 1 billion dollar in damages :)
$5 m internet bill damage?
people are a lot dumber today. lol
Anonymous, 24 Oct 20155 MILLION? Good lord. When I worked for AT&T, the largest overage charge I saw a customer ... moreThe moment you realise Apple isn't planning on footing the bill and you go to court, compensation for the amount isn't enough anymore. But I doubt they'll get anywhere near 5 mil, if they get anything.
But Apple should have just left it off and prompted you to turn it on with a warning the first time you're on bad wifi with data on.
"It's worth mentioning that the Cupertino-based company had later updated its website explaining the feature.."
Lol. So Apple obliged. If anything this goes to show that they are somehow responsible for not having this feature explained. Then again, 5 million is just coins for them.
Can we sue the couple for being greedy?
Anonymous, 24 Oct 20155 MILLION? Good lord. When I worked for AT&T, the largest overage charge I saw a customer ... more5million is the price ask for damage... not the over charge in data
AnonD-2332, 24 Oct 2015This feature has been on Samsung for a few years now and on lollipop it was turned on by defau... moreit's on my One M7 as well, but it isn't on by default.
Anonymous, 24 Oct 20155 MILLION? Good lord. When I worked for AT&T, the largest overage charge I saw a customer ... moreit clearly says they requested $5 milliion for the damage... they never got a bill of $5 million for their carrier... read, understand & then comment... poor boy
No its not eating to much data.
Not easy to develop or make anything these days without being sue by someone or someone sue for doing thing the same as they are or make it difficult to someone!
Well it's Apple's fault and they are completely right and may win the court but 5 million that's never gonna happen they probably get a few thousands top.
AnonD-454209, 24 Oct 2015I'm not an apple fan and sometimes i enjoyed reading the news where apple got sued over someth... moreLol, Same sentiments here. This does not seem to be a big issue to me, which deserves millions of dollars.
I think couple wants to say tht This feature should not be by default. They r using Apple wotld's best phone. So they want best services. Not like Samsung o lg.that's it.if Apple also do the same like Lg n Samsung then what's the difference between them????
Anonymous, 24 Oct 20155 MILLION? Good lord. When I worked for AT&T, the largest overage charge I saw a customer ... moreyou understand wrong.is not bill 5 milion.
is how much they wanna get from apple, just because they have it a oportunity and reaason to do that. a mean if they have a chance to make easy money, why not:)))
AnonD-2332, 24 Oct 2015This feature has been on Samsung for a few years now and on lollipop it was turned on by defau... moreMaybe only those bought on contract has it turned on by default lol, this is how they earn the "extras"
This is funny lol but yeah unless you have unlimited cellular data I'd recommend turning wifi assist off... But if you don't need to turn it off it's a really nice feature :)
5 MILLION? Good lord. When I worked for AT&T, the largest overage charge I saw a customer incur was something like $150 for going around 8 gigs over on data, which is a pretty large amount obviously. These people probably didn't even get charged that much and they want 5 million. Just pathetic
This feature has been on Samsung for a few years now and on lollipop it was turned on by default. If you go to wifi then setting you'll see Samsung smart network turned on and it does exactly the same thing. I don't know why people are now suddenly loosing their mind over it now Apple has done it. You can't even argue that because it was part of a software update people didn't want it without saying the same for people on galaxy devices. It's also worth noting that the feature is also on LG and some Sony devices and again turned on by default.
Someone should sue Apple for tying iTunes to iPhone...
