Total number of iPhones sold: 700 million.
http://ipod.about.com/od/glossary/f/how-many-iphones-sold.htm
Total number of humans: 7.3 billion.
Number of mobile phone users: higher than the number of humans. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/number-of-cell-phones-worldwide-hits-46b/
In 2010 it was already 4.6 billion.
Total number of iPhones used? Who knows. A lot of them are sold to returning customers who always buy the latest one. Everything older than 4S is unsupported now.

Maybe Siri will give you a better answer if you pay for Apple Encyclopedia?

Its funny how many limitations there are that you wouldn't expect from a 'premium' product.

Isn't it funny how quick fanboys jump to Apple's defence? The answer to the question is in the public domain - FYI: Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean", through March and April. There is absolutely no reason for Apple to demand you pay for this info, other than greed. But you go ahead and keep on throwing your money at them, you clearly have more of it than you have sense.

You can't just pick and choose articles when you please just to satisfy your own bias. Grow up and welcome to the real world. GSMArena has plenty of praise for Apple it's just they're not so squeaky clean anymore and other areas of the market have come a long way whilst you've been gawking over tiny improvements over their previous models.
