resale price is a reliable indicator of which phones last long..
if we go by that iPhones are long lasting than low quality android phone like samsung

I used to change phones every year back in the days, then I've convinced myself that I'll use one until it's no longer usable. It was difficult to make that promise to myself with all the shining new toys but I managed with S2 until the screen shattered last year =(
I think I'm getting the hang of it, probably will use my current one for at least another year.
Anyhow. During this time I learned that tech enthusiasts really don't have the need to switch every year because we know so much about our phones that we can make a phone last 3 years in very good condition making it do all that is necessary. You know which phones don't last though? Phones without removable battery... yep.

I don't really mind not getting it on launch day, I've never waited longer than a few weeks for upgrade though.

samsung mobile division is in terminal decline , profits seems better than previous year because current years quarter included the figures of Note 5 series but last years quarter dissent include note 4..
anyway samsung themselves acknowledged it

I took pictures by sony , suppose the best camera ,smartphone and shared via blutooth to Samsung and aple high end smartphones . The result is miles different among them. The images on iphone seems so dull , faded and dusty whereas on Samsung vivid , clear and vibrant. And Sony placed between of them . You can compare yourself to prove .

Apple Profit = $11.1bn vs Samsung Profit = $2.1bn
Most of the revenue came from the Semiconductor & Display biz (Apple can be thanked for this)
