Let's wait and see how it performs after testing. So many people here seem to think they know everything about this chipset and it's so called overheating problems when they actually no nothing. Stop being so ignorant!
Eh.. Gforgames? BusinessKorea? The news article can't even be found on BK anymore..
Not a peep about this on SemiAccurate or Wccftech and so on.
Carry on people. Nothing to see here.
We need a new CPU chip
Qualcomm = heatcomm
AnonD-280781, 29 Oct 2015The problem with the Exynos chip is that it is almost impossible to use the CyanogenMod ROM or... moreAm NOT even interested in exynos.. am only like Kirin 950 and Helio X10 and X20 ..
AND an TOTALLY NOT interested in dead cyanogenmod.. what for ?
Don't forget that Qualcomm denied overheating of the Snapdragon 810 in the first place.
I've had it!!! I cannot stand seeing Qualcomm denying the overheating over and over again, at the same time I cannot see my LG G Flex 2 processing above the 1.56 Ghz frequency, it was advertised as having 2.0 Ghz frequency. You all know why? I think you do, but for all of those who do not I will say it. The CPU has a problem, the design is faulty in a sense that is creating too much heat. The problem is it outputs a whole lot of heat even while processing few data, like e-mail, internet. This is the reason it was limited to 1.56 Ghz, to stop the super intelligent device from killing itself. The owners of smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 inside, are not receiving the specifications they paid for. Nevertheless, Qualcomm is free to manufacture as many faulty Cpu's as it wants, LG, HTC, OnePlus, these are companies that are not bound to use it. Yes, I believe Snapdragon 820 has the same problems, but they will stuff our future smartphones with copper.

Same trick again..
AnonD-142922, 29 Oct 2015I will never buy smartphone with CrapDragonThe problem with the Exynos chip is that it is almost impossible to use the CyanogenMod ROM or any ROM based on CyanogenMod .need as much to work on optimizing software,. note 5 and s6 , s6 edge a has bad RAM management, the problem is touchfiz AND FULL BLOATWERE who can not seem to improve. even LG G4 has done better RAM managment AND snapdragon has better ram management than exynos because of java preference loading delay errors in exynos
Snapdragon 800, 801, 805 are better. 810, 820 have overheating problem. I think we must wait for snapdragon 830 or something else...
Anonymous, 29 Oct 2015What I don't understand is why hasn't somebody asked Apple to buy some of their SoC's?
If the... moreFew possible reasons that I could think of - I am not saying they are THE reasons, I am saying possible reasons.
1. IOS is not good at using multiple cores compared to Android, so 2 core setup is more useful to IOS than Android. The 2 very powerful cores in Apple A9 SoC may or may not necessarily bring out better performance in a device with Android OS compared to IOS
2. Pricing - As it is, we know how Apple prices their products. Apple providing their SoCs to competitors (like Samsung giving its Exynos 7420 to Meizu) at a reasonable price that they can use it - Do you really imagine such a scenario materializing?
Why cigarettes companies have to put a warning on their packets while Qualcomm doesn't?
Qualcomm chips can cause severe burning and it considers a hazard for general health!
The 810/820 are Dragons..Dragons breathe fire..Stop complaining..

I suggest Qualcomm should take time and release "SD 820 - v2.1" rather than SD820 in the beginning. So that all phone manufacturers will be happy that they are getting cooler 820+ :) Some real comedy and serious action is going on with Snapdragon this year.
