I think their saving grace in mobile business is the removable battery + sd card expansion combo. It's a feature that's almost extinct and ppl frustrated from other manufacturer by removing this finds salvation with LG.
the newcoming chinese manufacturers have made it very difficult for companies like lg and samsung this whole year and its all gonna get more difficult for these top-dogs to make money considering the increasing no. of people turning towards xiaomi, oneplus, meizu and huawei......
i still believe in LG though.... hav used lg g2 and g3 in the past and i must say it is leaps and bounds ahead of samsung in device quality.
LG is lucky to survive. Going forward they should focus on pricing of flagship phones they offer along with extra bonuses like protection plans or warranty etc. They should also give better specs for midrange level devices and price them accordingly. It's surprising to see a company like LG still survive considering Sony and HTC almost going to oblivion.
'It's tuff at the top' as the saying goes.
All companies by default think they will sell more products (TVs, smartphones) every year. In the end of each year, they are suddenly surprised that their customers didn't buy more, more and morrrreeeee products.
Atleast this company survives a fierce market.
