mike do, 30 Oct 2015benefit from Chrome OS? Don't think so. In late 80's and early 90's IBM was "evil" and MS ... moreAgree with you completely on Linux. But the thing is, if Google want to keep Chrome OS alive, they have to make android apps compatible. In that way, user won't get bored, they can play games from play store + they can get their job done. & if they can make something like Windows continuum, it will become a big hit!
I think that Chrome OS should be integrated with Android, as a bare-bone ROM.
Anonymous, 30 Oct 2015How about they fix the bloated crapware called Google Chrome (for Desktop) first?
It starts... moreMan Firefox was way before Chrome. jejejej
And always was way better than Chrome.
Trooper, 31 Oct 2015Oh, I definitely know the meaning of combine. But where does your response help anyone in anyway ?.You said chrome is won't exist anymore, but that isn't true if it exists within android in some way.

And how can ChromeOS work with Android N, if ChromeOS does not exist any more ?, per your first statement.
The truth is out there, somewhere, but you obviously haven't found it yet...
Trooper, 30 Oct 2015Stuff the merge of ChromeOS and Android, how about they ditch the stupid JAVA virtual machine ... moreI agree with you. Java has caused a lot of performance problems. Building os based on java is a very very stupid idea.
Hey guys I searched in Google and found the truth. It is death for chrome os. The next os will be android N and it is for smartphones, tablets, pc s with chrome os will work with android N
Anonymous, 31 Oct 2015So they going to combine a web browser and a mobile phone OS. LOLChrome is no more just web browser! It has server tool kits and has potential to run scalable application (app server)! Android OS has all the ingredients of an OS. Google with its experience managing OEM in making devices....it can easily port an unified OS across devices. So it covers almost all areas in addition to its server technologies (Gmail, Cloud Servers) it has every reason to rationalise the entire ecosystem into a manageable one. Right now they are heavily depending on other ecosystem for everything other than Android environment.
Windows 10 will soon run on Xbox, Windows mobile, and iOT too. Even Windows servers are using same kernel. Google is way behind with it's malware Android OS (from OS maker to OEMs, and carriers). And here they are combining with a browser. What a joke. Give out free internet and selling spyware router. Ran around sniffing data from Wifi while taking pictures with Google Street. Good old Google, collecting data and sell ads.
For me it is the same what will happen with desktop but don't want to see anything changed on smartphones... I don't want death of android please don't do that :(
david, 30 Oct 2015So, ChromeDroid becomes a browser in windows 11??? and a PC user can use windows apps from ... moreThere's no Windows 11, 10 is the final version. From here on they will most likely only release major updates similar to Mac, you know like 10.1, 10.2 and so on.
By that time Windows 10 would have 1 billion installations.. Interesting to see competition between two giants, especially between the Indian CEOs..
I think someone is left behind..
