It appears to be a safe route for global push of redmi note 2 , given the patent issues with mediatek helio x10 in some countries. Redmi Note 2 is a good performance phone with no heating issues but currently with chinese MIUI7 rom. Choice of snapdragon 808 for Note 2 pro perhaps driven by 810 adversities, though lacking usb 3.0 and U-HD, should not matter for most users except for avid gamers etc. Xiaomi can provide a more useful alternative to one plus two in this device if released fast at half its cost (808 is cheaper) but they have to pay attention to camera, 64 gb or sd card and 3/4 gb RAM and of course global ROM on Marshmallow for making it a good alternative. Still helio x10 is a better engine with 8 cores 64-bit cortex A-57 than 808.

AnonD-265141, 31 Oct 2015"Redmi" is low-end class.....not possible it get QC3.0No doubt, 'Redmi' is low-end class, you are right and spot on there. But this is the 'Note' line of Redmi and, even more so, this is the 'Pro' series of the Redmi Note. Redmi Note 2 is already rated with an FHD. I doubt, this Redmi Note 2 Pro would come less pixels than an FHD. But hey, it's not mine to suspect they opted for a downgrade for this one, it's their product anyway. To hell what they would want to spec it

Mediatek doesn't release source code, so software updates are rarely seen.
              Hence the hate.

Considering that they are using the SD 808, I'm sold!

Finally a budget phone that DOESN'T have a Mediatek chip!
