Vic, 30 Oct 2015How many people are waiting for this device? Just a few..? Or even less ? It's something dead ... moreAgree. Technology have come to the point where we just can't improve them anymore at all. Because all of them are already using the latest of the latest tech. Manufacturers are living on minor upgrades this year. They are waiting for new tech to emerge like Force Touch. That one, is the most desperate move I ever seen in smartphone innovation. Next year, all smartphone will upgrade to use USB Type C, except Apple. Just like that, no innovation or whatsoever. Maybe just change the chipset to Snapdragon 820. Improve camera and this and that. Make it thinner and slimmer. No bezel design. Smartphone have come to the point where all of it is too obvious and predictable changes.

They are referring PRO because of the specs, screen tech and size and accessories...

working on 2 apps simultaneous is considering multitasking
and hey on surface pro 4 with 12.3" trust me you cant see anything if you put more than 2 apps on the screen
you can even see a movie while using 2 apps..in picture in picture..so i think the screen real estate of the ipad pro is a nice to have

but i have i5 and i tell you it lags in most cases using 2 apps...
but for most will not be so important...hey we are talking about 1-2 seconds

but still...at least on ipad pro when you are using split view+picture in picture you are not having these problems..but again ipad its a pure tablet with ios and surface is a hybrid and users will use it more as a laptop than a tablet

How about people here first USE the device before spouting all sorts of rubbish. Seriously, specs on paper don't translate well into real life performance for many devices.

I agree that the scenario described as a touch screen UI may not be good but by and large, for a 12-13 inch screen, you hardly can use your hand alone for all interactions unlike 10 inch screens, the touch interface becomes more or less useless with current set of apps and features. Keyboard and Trackpad together are needed and I am afraid iPad Pro does NOT have this option of trackpad!!!

Image plays a role yes, but mostly it's a reliable tool that you can't help but form a bond with. This is how all Apple products work. This will be no different.
