Android got its first lossless music player. Nexus One now can play FLAC, APE, WV files.
iPhone sucks n those who buys it r even worse .. imean they're like sucking machine
Graham T, 28 Feb 2010Google should be selling this to anyone in the world who is willing to pay for it. By the time... moreHere is my observation regarding Nexus One so far (as I live at one of the few markets where this phone is available)
- N1 is being compared with Motorola Milestone, and most of the editors "claim" the N-1 outperforms Milestone. (though for the average user, especially those new to Android, would they really notice the differences? Just like given 2 Mercedes Benz S-class, one being S550 and one being S600, other than the experts, if the badges are being covered, can one really tell the differences?). Maybe I haven't been to the N1 forum that often, though my understanding is most Milestone users, (again many of which are new to Android / smartphones) have praised about Milestone and being so happy to the point they would highly recommend to others.
- N1 is being sold thru the Internet only. Well, maybe it works well in places like US, where most are already used to mail orders. However, where I live (HK), most people are used to be able to see the actual product, have a test trial, before making the purchase. (contrary to what many have thought, I didn't get my wife's iphone due to mere marketing, rather first by "word of mouth" from her colleagues who already got the phone and quite happy with it, then we walked into the shop and "tested" one unit, and made our purchase with warnings from the shop regarding its "inabilities")
- based on the above, even most network service providers can't display the N1 and help to "promote" the phone to others.
- the worst news was for most who ordered the phone actually never received it. (couldn't understand why G-company chose DHL for international orders...such is one of the worst courier service around) Then they're struggling to get their phones back between the courier and Google and...
Again, I don't doubt N1's performance (even though I haven't tried one), but if it limits its availability so much only thru mail order, it may not be able to reach the market it wants. (when Moto Milestone was launched last year, most places were sold out for weeks)
FYI to the people on about figures, for a start, its sold in far less countries so has no potention to sell giant amounts, and you are comparing a phone just released, to an already established phone (iphone) take a look at the iphone 2g sales in first 3 days, they were not a million thats for sure
Guys, just in case you don't think i em kind of fun-boy or whatever...lol
Hmm, i want to say that android, aple, winmo or webOS is a nice concepts, but talking about this new concepts and they clime the best out of them self beyond any ather phone... it just don't seem fair.
The android, winmo and aple must fix their software kernel or all OS, because there is grate leakage on that big CPU architecture with that existing software, and maybe it will take couple year more to get better performance on this OS's i mention.
[deleted post]Wow.. very sound argument!
Every good nerd now that HTC is the best brand!
Well, folks.. you never know until you try it. I have my share with HTC's Hero and it's the best phone I've ever owned to date.
Anyway, it's sooo funny to compare N1 with 5800xM :))
But I gotta admire that nokia fan's GUTS! LOOOL...!
Anonymous, 01 Mar 2010it jaz shameful dat ur bragging bout n1 yet it only sold 20K Unit for a week and u compared 5... moreJust think the iPhone 3GS sold 1 million in the first 3 days, to put your pathetic 5800 sales figures into perspective, 25 million iPhones sold in a year sort of blows away all the stuff about ratings etc.
Money talks, bull$%^t walks.
The Nexus looks quite good, a lot better than the Google "Experience" magic, wtf the difference is between a "Google" phone and a "Google Experience" phone is beyond me.
I wonder when they'll come to Australia and whether Vodafone will carry them here.
It would be nice if Google launched some of their US based services too like Google Voice and voice guided navigation.
[deleted post]Dude.when im with my friends.32 friends to be exact.i can show them wats gotten on n97..like videoflicks/pictures during those time i captured candid moments over my widescreen television..tv out is im4tant when u want to show sumtng nice in ur phone in a wider screen..gudluck to ur n1 and gudluck to my n97...
[deleted post]it jaz shameful dat ur bragging bout n1 yet it only sold 20K Unit for a week and u compared 5800 sales of 500k on a 1st week.I bet ur nexus 1 could not reached 10 million in sales..
Just choose the right product for your needs. What’s the point guyz. Nothing is ever going to be perfect that is way there’s the next version.
[deleted post]Wow you seem to be winner by numbers, and you seem to pick a fight with woman toy.., is it that wot you are up to...?
Well, i will end that fight with prove that i or nokia is still a winner for sure, and i em going to use only FACTS that anyone will see for them self if they are not confident with my story, but first anyone of you, you all go for the best right, and that most interests you on the web to know or you want it right, you will click and visit that phone you like the most, so here right at GSMARENA the users interest is counted on every phone is published in here and clicked, then we are talking about touchscreens in here OK, then check nokia5800xm, n97, n97mini, X6, for daily interests number of time visited that it doubles compare to your nexus one, where this nokia5800xm plastic thing you are calling, is daily interests by people at 88.5%, and your nexus/jesus one is about 40%, wow it's a fact look at it...lol!
You see, people are still eager interested on that beauty nokia5800xm, and here in Europe is not very easy to find this n5800xm to bay any more, and the same with n97, but for Nokia N900 here in Europe in supermarkets Carrefoure in one week all nokia N900 is goon and sold out, so do you still running for numbers D-Day loser!
Now some other specs to remind you about Nexus one?
Sens this Nexus got 5mp camera and min. 20fps ops, the CPU cant cope with 30fps i guess with that Snapdragon of 1000MHz, well nokia5800xm can do that very well with 30fps and wide screen.
Nexus one don't have TV-out or Wi-Fi with DLNA at least, but the nokia all touchscreens have it NTSC or PAL works fine...lol.
Nexus have better screen size, but if nokia brings device with this big specs, than is to bad for you guys, who will ewer look at androids and aples anymore, wot do you think about that, do you fear the future..., well i em sure you do...lol.
Nexus, it's speaker is MONO scratching your ears for sure with that ugly mono sound like old radios, well Nokia have a super STEREO sound in wide and loudness and several equalizer settings, to watch movie full screen you may think you are watching big wide screen TV..lol who is dying now..., childish android logo hahahaaa.
Nexus have got Wi-fi a/b/g, were (a) is one old or first wi-fi was released, and is very slow and unreliable, and it seem google have pick up the old cheapest junk and put on that Nexus one, that Wi-fi "a" no company uses anymore, why they did not chose a better one with DLNA to make possible play movie throw network on TV, when there is no TV-out, otherwise most new phones have in built as standard.., maybe CPU can not control all of it, or the video of 20fps you will still not be able to watch on TV set, so that Nexus is useless on that purpose, nokia is plastic but it's better D-Day fun-boy lol.
Nexus one, it's battery pack is quiet big, but it seem that nexus will have to be charger maybe two time a day, it's very hungry, otherwise don't do anything with it, to keep Nexus one survive and stay online just for calls...lol
Who cares about this kind of phones, i don't see a reason to talk about this hyped phone, because nokia is still the best with that plastic and 434MHz, and wot is most important is the OS software how much uses CPU resources to operate smooth and friendly.
So D-Day, how do you like to be loser, self proclaimed Challenger...loool!
Google should be selling this to anyone in the world who is willing to pay for it. By the time it makes it to the other countries, there will be much better phones available and they will miss out on heaps of sales. Silly marketing plan IMHO.
[deleted post]Well, wot i own is not that shiny and expensive, but it does very well as it was most expensive phone in the world!
The Nokia 5800 XprssMusic...., and by the way, do you fear this guy or not...lol.
And the Nokia n9020xm beta testing, ops, hold back, no questions please, i em not laud exposing confidential information of this product!!
Few dumb comments:
HTC Legend will eat it for breakfast - Have you seen the specs difference???!
Legend – Qualcomm MSM 7227 600 MHz processor, 384 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, 320 x 480 pixels, 3.2 inches
Nexus One - Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 480 x 800 pixels, 3.7 inches
Far too late??? It’s been out for nearly two months! Is the Legend available on the market? That’ll be a resounding NO!
Is the Legend better than the Nexus One? You go to be dreaming or super thick!
SE X10 is better than the Nexus One - I was an owner of the X1 and that was a little disappointing. Waited for the X10, but the delays annoyed me so much and by the time this phone is released, it’ll be out of date. Considering the X10 runs Android 1.6 and the Nexus One has slightly better specs, shows you don’t know what you’re talking about. P.S you weren’t first.
Fragile – I’ve been using the Nexus One for one month and believe me it isn’t fragile. Like most touch screen phones, the screen is tough. The quality of the build is excellent. HTC has done a great job with this phone. I’m HTC built this and NOT SE!
The Desire is pretty much the same phone, made by the same company, with the same OS. You could say the Desire is just a sad copy with a few tweaks.
Think before you type.
My Nexus One cracked the glass, the glass is very fragile.
Dennis, 28 Feb 2010How do you mean 'HTC legend is going to this for breakfast'?"Muppet" the Desire and Nexus One are virtually identical. It won't be eating the Nexus One for breakfast EVER...
Dennis, 28 Feb 2010why?Because this phones visual-site is feminine or woman kind.
Think, if all ladies have enough money on their hand-bag and want to bay a phone, 98% first of them will grab Nokia n97mini gold, or this phone as a feminine shining thing.
