Samsung Pay is just the latest example. There was Google Wallet and other NFC based payment systems before Apple Pay, but Apple reases their version and BAM Samsung decides to come out with their own soon after. They did the same with Samsung Wallet, fingerprint sensors, digital assistants, ultra books, etc.

Keep putting stones on the wall in the hope that some will stick. This is not a wise move in todays ultra cost cutting model. You may have just one product, but it should appeal the audience. Its useless to put out galaxies after galaxies of newer models without any one backing it up in software.

Jobs cut in finance, human resources and marketing divisions? Seriously, Samsung? I doubt that. Those department are the ones spending the highest amount of operating cost yearly. Especially marketing. They fired or "voluntarily retired" them and the next thing you know they increase their expenditure in finance divison and make more smartphone models in human resources division and released more high budget/high impact ads from marketing division. Samsung always do the opposite of what they says.

I have tried Samsung phone once, after less than a year, the phone became so slow, I just use it as Wi-Fi hotspot and bought SONY Z, I am now using Z2 and planning to buy Z5 Premium when it comes out. I think people have become tired of Samsung due to problems, especially with software updates...
