Smartwatches, including Apple's watch, are bad products no matter how many they sell. And the number of these devices sold doesn't really prove that they are good products. Just exactly like how iPhone's sales number doesn't prove that it's the best product in the smartphone market.

I can see getting the point across would be near futile, as you don't even see my point in your very own statement. Reviewers as you say are the tiniest fraction. Yet iPhone STILL sells more than ANY other premium phone on planet earth. SO ALL of those people DON'T wonder why the reviewers bought it!

Leavi... moreThey obviously created a great brand long time ago that people would buy anything with its logo on it. But they definitely didn't create a great product. Smartwatches in general weren't going to be good products to begin with. I don't think Apple did any worse than the competition with their watches, but with that being said, they made the most profit in the market where majority of the consumers are at a loss. There are so many reviews of people returning their watches after 2 weeks or so. This further strengthens the point that sales number doesn't mean anything to user experience.

If you wanted something to tell the time you would use a normal watch, that has a longer battery life than the rechargeable one even if you count the charges.

And the fact that it only took 3 months (in limited availability) to capture 75% of the already existing market is definitely no indication of failure.

Considering the Apple watch was only released 6 month ago. And now Apple is reducing their new watch by $50, certainly tells me that their watches are not selling as well as Apple had hoped.

Funny how the ifans are quiet about this yet when other manufacturers do bundle sales they start with comments on how poor the device is if they have to use discounts and incentives to shift units. . .
