Look at all the worry people thinking the battery belt would explode. What year is it that battery still explode? Oh wait, 2015. Duh. You think they wouldn't think of that if simple minded people could think the same. I never seen a single battery pack ever exploded. Unless it is a removable battery itself. That one, yes. I have seen removable battery swollen and explode.

Regardless where the batteries cells from, it still dangerous to carry at battery pack lock to your waist. If that belt burn off, it can cut the person worn it into half. Don't underestimate the power of battery flames.

What is the idea about non replaceable batteries? We could have saved all the trouble if only the phone makers stop being greedy and bring back the replaceable batteries. My next phone must have this function, otherwise no upgrade and Samsung can keep their new phones in the warehouse.

But ye I wonder about the constant bending and tension on the packs, it's not like only the joint between the 2 packs will be bending.
...I don't wanna wear that "utility belt"...

yes, they do have a protective steel casing around each battery cell (various cells, not one or two flexible ones), but still...

Instead of swapping batteries that only takes about 60 to 80 seconds, they choose to wait "90 minutes" to charge during their waking hours. Now imagine how this belt will explode with all the tension - they better wear fire-resistant clothes.

Don't worry... in the rare case of battery failure, it won't explode but you could have severe burning like second grade burning or third grade if you are unlucky.
