Maximum screen on time is 4-5h, so how come it lasted 9-10 h during the web browsing test??? Also, expect 1-maximum 2 days of usage before battery reaches 0.

But they said it lasted 4 and a half days, so assuming it lasts as long as your Redmi 2, that would equate into the three times longer standby time everyone is talking about on the debloated ROM. So it is not unrealistic at all.

Phone.arena reviewed the Mi4c and they had excellent standby time while they had poor SOT time...the exact opposite of gsmarena. It's always better to read as many reviews as possible to get a better overall indication of battery life.

I have a Mi4C on the way and will test standby time to see if it really is 4.5 days. I find that very hard to believe.

I done a proper standby test on my Redmi 2 on miui 7 and it lasted 13 days. I let it really standby for 12 days. Single sim, wifi always on, mobile data off.

The question is, how do gsmarena calculate standby time? i don't think they have patience to do it properly and just calculate after a few hours which can be VERY inaccurate.

despite 3080 mAh capacity and "only" 1080p 5 inch display, the battery life quite disappointing, even when it is compared to iphone 6s which only have 1715 mAh battery capacity..

I wish it runs stock android. I don't like the RAM-intensive UI it's running on and the IOS look. Modders anyone? =)

Users report standby battery drain to be 1% per 3hours, that would put the endurance rating at about 80 hours

Right. Anything under 60 I would say is not good for anyone. Like all China phones, this one has poor standby. Marshmallow's doze feature may help this, but I'm sure unoptimized Chinese software designed to mimic iOS will always suck lots of battery. Doze will benefit those with constantly polling apps like Facebook...it will not help with an inefficient skin that is unoptimized.

Anything lower than 70 is just poor. But since a lot of that is standby, if doze is used for endurance rating then they would all go up right?

I expected at least 65-70 for it. But still for less than 200Euro its really good phone with nice battery
