"chrome os is here to stay" - but i'm not!
although with each version - despite the improvements and new features - there comes also a heck lot of new restriction aswell wich makes me less like each new edition I'd hate to see it killed/taken over
i have more hope for sailfish or the nowhere near alternatives yet of ubuntu & firefox
would be nice to see a new entrant on this field!

As Google it self reports, within a classroom environment Chrome OS is a beast. It's one of the best simplified an stripped down OS's. Giving you a quick, an secure internet connection!
My concern how ever is taking Android, which is a Linuix based power house with almost limitless options, an joining it with Chrome OS which has simplicity as it's leading point [imo]
Either way it'll be interesting to see how they execute this

Well chrome OS just sucks really what's the use of it who really want a browser as an OS there's also very good Windows tablets and ultrabooks to replace that chrome OS is just a failure.

Linux, 1000 times better than Chrome OS. I think some company should offer their laptop with Linux OS, only than it will bring some competition in OS market. HP, Lenovo can do this easily. They can design their own OS!

I was excited to hear android integration to chrome... And please GOOGLE, don't call it a computer which is running Chrome OS! According to Google, this is only good for kinder garden kids in school. Every time they talk about Chrome OS, they mention about activation of Chrome OS in school!

Now I fully understand what they're trying to do with this... I hate to admit that this OS really provides all I need. But I have a phone, pc, and a laptop/tablet. Don't you dare tell me to check my privileges.
