Bought Nexus 6P for $543 (including state tax - California) and $50 google play credit.
In Eastern Europe (Bulgaria) will be at least $800 I think?

Galaxy S6 price in Bulgaria - 1500lv (approximately $800)
Nexus 5 price in Bulgaria - 700lv (approximately $380)
Nexus 5X price in Bulgaria - 1100lv (approximately $600)
...I'm pretty sure this one is going to fail badly here.

I'm better with my z3 compact. SD801 still does the job done even better than some newer cpu's and 2 gb of ram is enough even for power users like me.

I'm one of the fools that ordered it in Europe.
I just love the Nexus brand and I killed my Nexus 5 2 months ago.
As for other smartphones, I did a lot of research and either they were even more expensive, or they were filled to the brink with bloatware. (I'm looking at you Samsung)
You have to have deep pockets here if you want a manageable smartphone that you can use with one hand and gets updates straight from Google HQ.

For whatever reason it happens this is a very high price for this nexus phone.
It makes it expensive against every other competitor.
Expect very low sales in Europe.

Add to that the lack of TTIP (opposed by various nutjobs - yes, I know there are a few sore points, but, imho, not enough to oppose the treaty as a whole) and you get this price.
