it is really bad...sony is planning to improve z6 to snapdragon 820,4gb ram, xenon flash, wireless charging with 4100mah battery and 4k 60fps recording, samsung needs a change. if samsung cannot make s7 a sucess, the future is doom.. its following nokia pathways...it thinks by optimising software like apple it can acheive sucess,.. android is android, it can never be ios.. so its time samsung changes its stupid (except i like s6 design) designs, increase hardware spec..i ditched my samsung plasma for panasonic, because they stopped manufacturing plasma, i found panasonic cheaper, with 3d, larger size than samsung..no more galaxy with platics.. i find sony exciting and less bloatware than stupid samsung.. i use samsung tab s lte 10.5, it is irritating to see that i cannot uninstall(only disable) nearly 18 applications i dont use them or its not available in india...
samsung is digging its own grave like nokia. ofcourse each company one day will fade, never expected samsung to fade so soon..
So Samsung have realized that to improve their flagship cams further they need bigger sensors, not denser and smaller pixels.
Scrap their idea of 0.9 micron pixel size already.
Give us Ultrapixel-like photosite with 3 times the amount of megapixels coupled with excellent processing and they would have a winner.
Well, taking it with a grain of salt as usual.
Interesting.. hope i turns out well.
As a selfie camera it would. be great pun on 12Mp cams in other phones, as a main camera it w8ll be made fun of by 12Mp pureview thats coming soon...
Anonymous, 03 Nov 2015It sounds like the Toshiba T8ES7,but the article mentions it's only now nearing mass productio... moreI doubt Samsung will use a Toshiba sensor in their new flagship.. either they're going to produce one or ask Sony to do it.. Just a theory i have. :)
Good news...!!! Expect Apple to ship iPhone 7 with the first LINX camera in 2016...!!!
dasman, 03 Nov 2015just do itphone manufacturer should be made as hard as batteries and to improve the battery life, instead of real thinner phones and thus reduce the capacity of the battery,
I really don't care whether it's Samsung or Sony sensor as long as it would be launched early. They are both pretty good.
Well it was about time. The Megapixel race would not take us anywhere anyway, it was always about sensor's size.
It sounds like the Toshiba T8ES7,but the article mentions it's only now nearing mass production. Perhaps an updated model?
Alright. I give up. What is a dual-photodiode? Is it a new Light Emitting Diode for a flash? Or is it an improvement to the CMOS sensor. Or is it a replacement for the CMOS sensor? What makes it cool?
bigger sensor it means better picture quality, because the sensor work with less density when capturing the light and colour. when the pixel in camera is bigger, it need more density and affected to image noise, that's why mostly prosumer camera like canon G-Series still work with 12mp sensor, anyway if you only print your photo to letter size, actually 6mp is enough, or maybe you need take a picture for print a banner? go with 20mp++ sensor, anyway with more pixels it's means you need more space to save it, think smart. :)
I have a superb Dell 27" 4K monitor with IPS panel. As a desktop image, there is a photo I took with my Note 4 of a sunny day in Hyde Park, London. It's a very detailed scene, full of people, water, trees, flowers, birds in flight, kids having fun and so on. Everyone who sees it assumes it's a stock photo or from a DSLR. Almost all the photos from my Note 1, 2 and 4 in day and low light are outstanding, and hard to differentiate from my old Sony NEX 5R and Panasonic GH2 Micro 4/3rds cameras and other 'real' cameras. Got to hand it to Samsung, somehow, their phone cameras take outstanding pictures, so be amazed to see what the S7 can do!
(Am waiting for the Note 5 64GB black to hit the UK, that's my next.)
excluding the huge pureview sensors, seriously how come someone hasn't made a sensor larger than the 1/1.83" sensor in the N8
Low light performance is more important for cameras, especially since in high light all cameras look the same (to me). To be honest I don't really care about the camera altogether though, all the ones in the market are good enough already really.
Interesting. I would still like to see it increase enough to keep the same sized pixels yet be 16mp. So slightly larger than 1/2 inch.
Hopefully it's an overall very improved sensor, lense, isp, all the above.
just do it
