.alpha, 03 Nov 2015Obama's economic sanction against Russia is pushing Russian to buy cheap Windows phones instea... moreMan, we are not that poor as telling you on your TV, but iPhone 6, is a cheap crap, very overpriced, for exaple my wife got iPhone 3, 4/4s, 5/5s, but last time, when we was i Thai, we tried 6/6s, and she said - "crap", Steve is not with us anymore, regret about it, big loss, we hope for iPhone 7, they will keep their promises about laser keyboard and other new things, but atm version 6, is overpriced piece of crap, and China come closer and closer by technology advance and price, still belive in Apple, but in RU, they loose positions w/o new cool device soon, not because sanctions or rouble rates, none care about it, because its nothing new for a long time.

Obama's economic sanction against Russia is pushing Russian to buy cheap Windows phones instead of iPhones. As Windows flagship aren't out yet, this is the only possible conclusion.

They also doesnt like lack of app collection in Windows world. There really isn't any reasonable reason to leave iPhone for windows, more likely people would trade to android.

Integrating desktop and mobile is the best way they could've got higher market share, and as mobile hardware becomes closer to desktop windows will become more relevant. I'd imagine if they are successful most of their market share will come from disgruntled iOS users who don't like the lack of updates in android, but would be interesting to see.

Most of people in russian buy their iPhones from another country because it's cheaper

Nothing unusual. Windows phones are much cheaper than the insanely overpriced iPhones. Majority of Russians are poor, hence better sales of cheaper phones. iPhone is not worth the asking price and just waste of money. And if your monthlu salary is 300 USD then you think before buying such toys.
