Every phone that big would bend if you bend it with your hands, with tremendous force and strong hands.. That video was pointless..you could do that in other phones too especially if it is thin and large..and people dont normally bend phones with their hands..iphone6 is an exception because its a lot weaker that simply putting it in your pocket makes it bend..so i call this bullshit..

There is also the price issue. Here in Europe the prices match those of an iPhone. Generally a Huawei phone would cost much less than that so compromises like these are acceptable.

Just take the video (pretty much any review, really) with a grain of salt.

These are not your cheap fly-by-night operations. These are really big companies - I'm pretty sure they have R&D / testing facilities and quality control. I doubt they'd want to release a phone that has a defect like that - it's way too obvious an oversight, and severely damaging to their reputation (not something anyone wants in this cutthroat race of a mobile phone market).

AnonD-375713, 04 Nov 2015You pretty much answered yourself, it's the sum you pay and brand reputation that made a fuzz ... moreIt is, like, what do you expect from that brand called Apple? They sure love making low-quality products that bend. In comparison, Huawei is only about as terrible as Apple.

dukaki, 04 Nov 2015When the fruit company's product bends, the world goes haywire with "bendgate". Everyone start... moreApple is supposedly more reliable, if you think its legitimate to compare it to a (relatively) cheap flagship from a rising Chinese company then evidently not.

Also there were real life examples where they all bent at the same point where it was structurally weak. Let's first wait to see if the same is for the 6p before we even think about anything else.

Jose, 04 Nov 2015Why are still trying to bend everything in sight? True. Reason why the iPhone 6 bent was because it had one particular point of structural weakness. Bend tests don't take that context into account when testing things in different ways like putting weights on it or bending it with your hands.
