I have a Note 10.1 (2014) and I hav... more5.1.1 has been released a month ago for the LTE version.
Ipads are toys btw. No pen, mediocre multi window, no Linux support. This tablet is the only true tablet in the market. Xperia Z4 is also good but has no development by the community.

AOSP is great for phones, but it is not build for tablets and it shows. All my phones run AOSP none of my tablets do (guess why).

In fact this release has all the patches until September 2015, so it's the most current software running on Android tablets, period... I don't know what people are b*tching about.
The tablet was released Septemeber 2013 and it got all the patches until September 2015. That's significant! Most companies drop support by the 18th month...
Even iPads (which are -supposedly- long supported), actually take only some of the features, most new features are dropped, so they do not really represent a new release. With tihs one we actually got a new release! Galaxy Note 5's Multi-window and apps and everything else in-between...
People should be thankful, not b*tchy ... unless of course they're being paid by some fruit company (in which case I understand their pain, only now they've got multiwindow, and even that, average at best, and the pen has yet to be released)...

Samsung has become a loser company, its over confidence will bring it to its knees, it duped customers of its almost flagship tablet Galaxy Note 8.0 by not even updating it to lollipop quad core exynos & 2gb ram was supposedly inadequate for the powers that be at Samsung......

waoooo this is something that makes me get mad on lg..... they are first to release phones with high end hardware and for a second time first releasing a major software update but come on....... many user from other manufactures got already 5.1.1 and my lg g2 is still on 5.0.2 .... this is not fair... even we dont know if lg will update this one to any other software even .....this table ...hear that ..tablet got this update .......similar processor.....even its own lg lower end devices like g vista got 5.1 ...so dissapointed.
