vrvly, 05 Nov 2015So you can have control of whole home etc. No one can do the same, even W10 cannot. Shame they... moreActually there are lots of OSes out there for controlling everything in home and making robots. Like "Windows 10 IoT", "Raspberry OS", "Arduino", etc.
You just need a board like "Raspberry Pi" or "Arduino" or "Intel Galileo".
What Tizen wants to achieve, Android already has achieved. Nothing new.
Tizen will quickly catch up with ios at least within 5 years
Android is inevitable and un-replaceble.
No thank you. iOS serves me well.
Tizen is looking really good. It seems sort of like Genisys, if you know what I mean ;) but I like the video nonetheless :P
Which GUI toolkit does Tizen use? Anyone know? I imagine it might be using XWindow. But whats in between XWindow and the apps? Just curious.
Tizen can be great, but they need to convince costumers to buy tizen powered devices over other devices, and such a thing can only be achieved by a rich app ecosystem and diverse device category.i think what they need is to make tizen roms for other phones, and offer samsung phones in tizen alongside android. also they need to publicly advertise if tizen can open android apps (as far as i know it can) and run them properly.
these being said, competition in mobile market or any other market is the best thing for progress and users benefit from competition more than anything.if i finish my app, i will give tizen a chance for sure
So you can have control of whole home etc. No one can do the same, even W10 cannot. Shame they got no real alternative to siri/cortana, it would be perfect then.
A bit like a good animated infographic.
