AnonD-442781, 05 Nov 2015Maybe to cautious iPhone users who aren't feeling too adventurous in being different ;-).Apple users are different by default. If we were the same as most users we would use Android handset. (which Android OEM is irrelevant) :)
But these guys cant run for long time because of a really poor battery.
Manny, 06 Nov 2015What do you mean the A9 looks "almost exactly" like an iPhone? Almost and exactly don't go tog... moreI actually don't mind that it looks nearly identical to an iPhone (whaaaat? Did I just put the words "nearly" and "identical" together, try not to get your panties in a twist). My gripe is with the commercial itself and the hypocrisy of trying to promote the A9 as original. It's beautiful, yes. But original? No.
Manny, 06 Nov 2015What do you mean the A9 looks "almost exactly" like an iPhone? Almost and exactly don't go tog... moreAlmost exactly like means almost exactly like, i.e. almost identical. Like how 98% is almost 100%. Go back to school.
The HTC One A9 may look nearly identical to the Apple iPhone 6, but HTC seems to think it is the perfect alternative for those who love the looks of the iPhone but the freedom offered by Android.
This message is in plain view in the new HTC One A9 commercial, which is now available on YouTube. During the ad, HTC highlights the One A9 premium all-metal design, 24-bit Boom Sound audio experience, optical image stabilization and RAW image capture, and the fact that the phone is running Android Marshmallow.
Android fans may dismiss the HTC One A9 as just another iPhone clone, but we know that there are quite a few people who stick with Apple simply because they love the look of its phones.
Whichever way, the A9 is indeed beautiful.
Help The Cause, 05 Nov 2015I love HTC. Seriously. But this commercial is utterly and ironically hilarious.
The tag li... moreExactly.
Probably the CLUMSY parkour run, actual word BORE (instead of bold) make a different, and the stupidity kicking apple move make HTC loud..
A9 look set to be another failure from HTC, and only from HTC

oh no. now you did it htc. while you could have just let it go...but no. you've got to go ahead and ridicule yourself. well done.
What a bad ad campaign, it's not even a real HTC. It's more of a phone that had kinky bed time with a iPhone that is running android. And the "be loud" part of the ad is rubbish. It doesn't even have BoomSound. They had room to have it but they where too lazy and they wanted to save money as HTC themself have stuffed up and trying to make money..
Be bold, different, loud and free!?!?!?
How does this phone make you be any of these things?

The tag line is "Be Different" yet the A9 looks almost exactly like an iPhone. And I can't help but remember Apples "Think Different" campaign from years ago. Then there's "Be Loud" on the first flagship HTC has had in years that does NOT have Boomsound front facing speakers. The list goes on and on...
I own an original HTC One. And it is a truly excellent device. The Sense UI has been nothing short of a pleasure to use. But your commercials have always blown HTC. From Robert Downey Jr to Gary Oldman to this current silly production. I can't help but feel like no one knows about your awesome devices because your marketing is so terrible. Please find another firm, you can't do much worse!
