Mich, 10 May 2016I have no problem at all, amazing batteryI'll second the first opinion. This is hands down, the absolute worst battery i have ever had on a phone. I am attempting to do things on the phone with the screen at 25% brightness, all apps shut down, I lose about 1 percent a minute. This phone is pathetically bad for battery life. Never Again will I be considering an LG. Going back to galaxy. It is currently plugged in and cannot stop losing battery life.

Remove any hotmail or exchange account from the email app. It will solve the problem of short lasting battery. I was so disappointed with this LG V10 until I found out what the problem was, now I love this phone. Now my battery last 1p hours with normal use.

Worst battery life. I'm beyond livid about all the comments about how great the battery life is. My HTC M8 lasted all day without dying but I have to charge my V10 3 times a day. I moderately use my phone and I have auto brightness turned on so I can barely read my screen now. I don't even use Wifi and it drains the data.

I have a great problem with battery of this phone, it worked fine 10 days ago when i was using Lollipop version, as soon as I updated Marshmallow, battery is so bad as hell, 1 percent decrease every 2-3 minute, Battery finishes up in Half day. This is a great problem, this is actually a software problem, LG should come up with this. If you haven't updated this phone please do not. its disappointing from LG :(

I have to agree this is the worst battery only good thing about it is if you don't use it phone the battery holds up but the minute you use it drains quick. I wake up in the morning I check the weather the news and emails all about 20 mins of use my battery drains to 75%...now the problem is I use my phone like I use my computer like many people do you would think by now the phone companies like lg would come up with a better battery come on now we have all this technology and you can't come up with a better battery. This is just a way for the phone companies to make more money

This has to be one of the worst battiers that made, I wish I would have never up graded from the Motorola turbo droid, best battery they ever made, I'm taking the phone back tomorrow and going with the droid turbo ll

By 10 am it was at 50% and by ... moreIt seems that you should turn off all apps, or wifi, mobile data, location, gps to minimize the consumption of your battery usage. Try download apps which can easily direct close the running apps. I would prefer you download the GREENIFY. Goodluck.

I just spent half an hour on the phone with Verizon regarding this issue.
It turns out my problem waa the stock email app not cooperating with hotmail. It was chewing through my battery in about four hours.
Now I'm using the outlook app and an hour and a half in this morning, with Pandora usage, and some web browsing I'm still at 95%.
Now this phone is as awesome as I'd hoped!

Just got this phone and love the phone itself, but the battery life is atrocious. My battery dies in 3-4 hours even when I'm not using it. I have bluetooth off, GPS off, only WIFI on (because I'm at home). I have the display turned down a bit. No apps running. No widgets.
Some of the power-extending suggestions are a bit silly. If I have to turn the secondary display off, why did I get this phone? If I'm going to deactivate its unique features to preserve battery life, why didn't I just buy a different (cheaper) phone? I could have just gotten a Galaxy and had the better battery life without the secondary display.
LG currently offers a free extra battery promotion, but I don't know if I'm inclined to be swapping batteries multiple times a day. My previous phone (a Galaxy S3) did not need to do this. It also had extended batteries available for those who wanted multiple days of standby time. Currently there are no companies offering extended batteries for the LG V10. I'm debating returning the phone while I'm still in the returnable window.
But pulling the phone off the charger at 7 a.m. and having it nearly dead by 11 a.m. with very little (if any) use is not acceptable. This thing just sucks battery like nothing I've ever seen. My wife's Apple watch lasts longer.

This is crazy. On Friday at work my V10 started at 100% at 7am. By 10 am it was at 50% and by 12:40pm it powered down at 0% and I hardly used it. I only got 5 hrs and 40 min. But at home on Veterans's Day and Saturday and Sunday I unplugged it at 7am and at 10 pm at night I still had around 40%. This morning at work, within 15 minutes it went from 100% to 94% without doing anything. What do you think is happening at work? Could it be my work wifi? I love this phone and I'm ok with the battery life except here at work.
