Still not buying it, I want to see real world performance and GPU tests too. CPU benchmarks are too unreliable these days.

Top and bottom bezels should be extremely thin - especially on a large 6" device. The display should be OLED and the camera should be with OIS. Maybe next round.

a Prophet, 09 Nov 2015we saw benchmarks like this on Nexus 5 2015 too but it came out with mid+ end... those these m... moreUnlike you, I beleive Huawei. Because Mate 8 will come with 6 inch 1080p display instead of battery killing 2K display. So it affects the performance of the chipset.

Grey1213, 09 Nov 2015Still no official mention of the GPU. -poor GPU -poor battery life -throttling Let's ... moreWell let me enlighten you. Kirin 950 has Mali T880 GPU with MP4 Cores at maximum 800 Mhz. They have done this to reduce the surface area of the silicon, while not sacrificing from performance by keeping the speed of 4 gpu cores at 800 mhz for maximum speed.

Just a couple of years back, increasing specs to dangerous levels was the way to make the Android UX better - until we got to the SD 810. A dead end, to say the least.

And it's only now more people are finally seeing that fixing the software is also just as important. As for Apple, it still has the upper hand on that part - but only by the smallest of margins.

Maybe Google should ditch Java.

These. Have been good phones except being less powerful in terms of performance due to inferior past chips they have been using. Now that they have worked on performance, they have my money

Looks like Huawei means business with HiSilicon chipsets. The initial Kirin chipsets were so so (the one I have in Ascend P7, though I still quite like it), but from now on, they seem to produce very capable hardware. I wonder how new versions of Kirin will stack up in the future.

Let's see how many of these possible problems huawei deals with.

Pointless. Run AnTuTu for 10 back-to-back runs and lets see how much of the score remains. I also want to see some GFXBench benchmarks.
