It's overpriced - I won't deny that. But it's performance as a tablet is second to none. And after-sales service (at least where I stay) is also second to none (unless the reseller is crappy - so know your reseller first).

In EU, every electronic device mus... moreNo it's not sad, I know how to defend myself when it comes to warranties believe that. I don't buy Apple products except the iPod, so I really don't care, but Acer, Sony and Huawei treated me exceptionally with their warranties. But Apple has their own warranty process here in Portugal.
It still has the 2 year warranty (DUH), but Apple always tries to f*ck Portuguese customers over.

Apple is not an premium smartphone it's only a smartphone. On the other hand Mercedes-Benz, BMW etc. Have diferencial "hardware" parts. There's no software war there. I can buy an iDevice from US, go to EU and not worry about warranty. Do the same with any other smartphone or tablet and be prepared to pay big bucks.

Slightly lower, but Samsung doesn't have to pay for OS development and their chipset is made of off-the-shelf parts, not custom CPU cores which development again Apple pays for.

the high price of apple products surely benefitted for those staying in the country with official apple store as it commonly include insurance (like 1 by 1 replacement) and other beefits (like other after sales service) But if you live in a non-official apple store country like me, in Indonesia, you will not get such benefit and the price still can go higher.

Talking about the device, I still can't see the point of these HUGE resonance chambers for the tiny ass speakers, just let them sound that 10% worse and trow 2 bigger battery cells there, that would be like what, at least 60% extra capacity on an extremely lazy approximation. Also the space after the motherboard in center.... no idea what they did on this thing's construction...
