The reason why Apple makes a deal with Samsung is because if JDI or Joled doesn't supply Apple the display on schedule, then Apple can turn to Samsung.

Samsung is already developing new display technology. So S and Note will be on the top again.
BTW not all the AMOLED displays are same. There was competition even on the LCD field. Right?

My only problem with OLED displays for mobile devices is the screen burn-in. And yes, every OLED display will have screen burn-in eventually.

IPS LCD's have this problem in blacks, when I had iPhone it used to annoy me and still does on my iPad coz, seeing the quality of Apple products , it deserves a better display, Amoled are sure getting better and better, their whites(which were like Mild yellow in the begining) are now much better and colors are getting natural. If Apple doesn't go the Amoled way it should then develop an LCD whose blacks doesn't get affected by brightness.

Amoled on an iphone ......a nice income for samsung.....but its not unusual after all samsung made the i watch .....but to want to jump to ios just because they use amoled just indicates a moronic attitude who wants to join the north korea of technology and free choice
