AnonD-430787, 14 Nov 2015'Apple' did NOT confirm. Misleading title. It was discovered.Apparently it was discovered, and then confirmed. The two aren't mutually exclusive, in fact I'm pretty sure you wouldn't use the word 'confirm' if it wasn't discovered first.

Isn't type-c, the new standard being used even in phones, twice as good, and offering more power too?
