muya, 16 Nov 2015good news. Samsung has been leading positively.. High Performance Samsung Exynos processor... moreI see the trend here. Samsung, the most trusted chips maker. Samsung might manufacture Kirin and Nuclun too next. Samsung is the god of all chipset.
vasilisA3, 16 Nov 2015@Xtremist Do you have a Samsung device? No or you had before 3 year ego. I have an A3 for 5 m... moreA3 for 5months? No lags? Yeh sure if that A3 has just a candy crush or clash of clans game... How about high end gaming? I heard that in asphalt 8, you should have to turn your graphics level into medium just to play the asphalt 8 normally on that Samsung A3.., and that explains why people call samsung devices laggy...
In real world multi cores like quadcore or octa don't really work at the same time... So it's important to look at the single core score than multicore score... And apple products gives you the best single core score like iphone 6s-2540 single core score and the Ipad Pro-3235 score on geekbench benchmark...
Laggy samsung?? You probably have a samsung galaxy s3. Because latest samsung flagship don't lag anymore. Upgrade yours mobiles phone please!!!
Grey1213, 16 Nov 2015Compare the note5 to the latest released iPhone with their latest chipset (6s plus) They have... moreThis you'll keep saying every year.. maybe this is reason Exynose 8860 will have higher score cuz A9 is few months old (maybe 5-6) when it hit the market.. for last two years I'm amazed to see Apple processors crushing Samsung phones when they come out. still it seems Exnose latest generation can't beat A9..
cro, 16 Nov 2015You can only say that if the power consumption on the Exynos isn't terrible. Whoever balances ... moreCompare the note5 to the latest released iPhone with their latest chipset (6s plus)
They have similar battery size, and the same battery performance. But the note 5 has a bigger screen, twice the number of pixels and is using a 6 month old chipset with a year old software (although android phones typically give updates without changing os version, so this is only half-true).
You would literally have to be crazy to think a phone with a smaller screen and half the resolution having the same endurance rating is somehow still better in terms of efficiency. And this is despite whatever improvements to efficiency Apple claims vertical integration gives. And despite the fact Apple has a comparative advantage when it comes to standby, and gsmarena's test comprises of 21 hours of standby.
Harmonica, 16 Nov 2015do google .. i am sure you are not living under the rocksOK then:
Based on the results of our testing, itÂ’s clear that both versions of AppleÂÂ’s A9 SoC deliver the same level of performance, but SamsungÂ’s 14nm FinFET process appears to offer slightly better power efficiency, extending battery life between 3.5-10.8%. This is a little more than the 2-3% quoted by Apple, but not much, and it equates to only about 5-15 minutes of runtime under the most extreme conditions.
Apparently Samsung is more efficient because it uses 14nm while tsmc only uses 16nm.
Now go back and find a reliable source like tomshardware or anandtech saying otherwise. ;-)
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2015I think you mean overheating, less battery efficient Apple A9 processor made by Samsung. TSMC ... morehttp://www.tomshardware.com/news/iphone-6s-a9-samsung-vs-tsmc,30306.html
Lol, 16 Nov 2015810 vs 7420? SD was neither faster or more battery friendly.thats why i said at the beggining that sammy won a battle plus not the war.
muya, 16 Nov 2015good news. Samsung has been leading positively.. High Performance Samsung Exynos processor... moreI think you mean overheating, less battery efficient Apple A9 processor made by Samsung. TSMC A9 ftw!
these numbers are false.... right exynos won this battle but not war .....snapdragon has always been faster and battery friendly than exynos... single core performance is more inportant than multi.sigle runs the interface on phone so no lag while using a device plus,a lot of cores doesnt mean betetr performance,,,,performance is overall.battery, speed, load times, upload times,, etc a lot of cores is only speed... im still stick to my krait 400 cores 2.26 gz frommy lg G2 ..it is not the besta ny more ragarding the bench..but real life usage beats a lot of devices out there why.._ it is simply case i can run on it what ever i want ..no lag on interface or gaming ..any single lag.... multitasking workes fine,,,no overheat no drop in performance... amazing on screen times from 5.5-6 hours wifi streaming videos on youtube app, most of the apps doesnt use this device potential..not all apps use 3.0 open gl,,.. u cant tellme emulators because even an overclocked xperia play can run those.... games like ASPHALT 8,MKX can run on sd400 ... and sd 400 devices comes with 1 gb ram, adreno 305 and 4 x 1.2 ghz cortex A7 ... sd 800 doubles everything 2 GB RAM,ADRENO 330 4X 2.26 GHZ KRAIT 400 ARE CUSTOMER CORTEX A15 INFACT so imaging are we using this cores potential noooooo..... even these task can be handled easy by sd600 krait 300 even SD S4 PRO dual core 1.7 comming from moto x first gen .... so guys benchmarks are no everything for get about future proof ....most of u keep chaging devices like pants .... in my case this g2 will be with me until it dies ...so in my case it is enough future proof .....
AnDas, 16 Nov 2015Sadly they took the crown from Snapdragon, at least it's not a Chinese SoC. You can only say that if the power consumption on the Exynos isn't terrible. Whoever balances battery life and performance this round is the winner, in my book. Apple may have already won.
Harmonica, 16 Nov 2015do google .. i am sure you are not living under the rockssounds like you don't have a source
Grey1213, 16 Nov 2015Do you have a reliable source for why?do google .. i am sure you are not living under the rocks
Great job. Now optimise your horribly laggy UI and scrap all the bloatware.
Harmonica, 16 Nov 2015yeah.. but don't forget the same processor manufactured by TSMC is better than samsung ;-)Do you have a reliable source for why?
Any rumor on Apples next ten chips performance as yet? Nah thought not. Typical android hippies, comparing next gen SoC's to Apple's current gen. Hehe ^.^
