G4 user, 11 Dec 2015it takes months and canada is not a poit of reference for updates u may be last in track........ moreare you saying g4 user if i flash my lg g3 d855 with kitkat it will upgrade to lollipop 5.0. I
really need it..please help me how to upgrade my lg g3 to lollipop atleast ,,i m at 4.4.2

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2015I updated my LGG3 last month and it downgraded back to Android 5.0 ! Tried to update it tonig... morethis is normal, because LG didnt come out with an update for the 5.0 firmware and holds down to come with the marshmallow instead, so just wait for the marshmallow,,,,

I updated my LGG3 last month and it downgraded back to Android 5.0 !
Tried to update it tonight and I get the message the phone has the latest version of Android (still stuck on 5.0)

I'm really new to android, so my question is after this is rolled out in Poland how long will it take before I can update my lg g3 here in Canada? does is take days, weeks or months? I'm having a ton of issues with the google apps on the phone and have tried every forum fix. I'd rather wait for the update if it's only a week away but if it'll take months then ill be returning the phone.

You'll get the update over the air. Your phone will notify you and once you hit OK it starts downloading and installing the update - no desktop is required. Your battery must be at least 50% or on charger.

Hi, I'm a noob to the Android scene...how do software updates work? In the ios and WP 8.x world, you simply press "update" on your phone and voila, you have the latest version. I understand that in the Android world updates depend on the device manufacturer to release it. So how does this work with the G3? When the update is available, will I simply go under the settings in 4.4.2 and choose "update software"? Thanks in advance.

I just bought my lg G3 yesterday and got rid of my nexus 5 . what I'm wondering is why the only android version I have is 5.0.1. That's horrible considering this phone is fairly new. I also read something online saying that they were going to skip the lollipop 5.1.1 update and go directly to marshmallow. When are the updates gonna be available .

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2015Samsung will have a all new version of TouchWiz instead of LG just improving here and there of... moreoh please..you bought an S6 knowing very well it didnt have a removable battery and expandable storage...if your phone doesn't have the latest version of android does it stop working?....i would prefer them taking longer to provide an update that actually improves the device rather than rushing to release the update and worsen its performance
