I always have thought Here Maps is better, but I am sorry to say, where I live, Calcutta, W.B, India, the Google Maps is actually better. There are quite a lot of small roads, lanes, which aren't there on Here, but they exist on Google Maps! I haven't tried the Offline Google Maps yet though.

Looks like Nokia is getting worried that their app will be irrelevant soon.
And the part where it says Full Offline Mode. It should just be Yes, the same as Here Maps.

How about mapping capabilities? Here maps ugly, unreadable, rarely updated, with unusable public transport routing (when there are 10 different bus routes between 2 stops it only show one, so you wasting time waiting for it), with very dated satellite imagery. Google Maps, Yandex Maps and 2GIS are miles better.
Google Maps might still doesn't have offline maps (there are little available in very limited regions), but at least it works somehow.

Oh common here, we know you are good when it comes to offline maps, but Google is just entering the arena, so why the brag huh? Anyways, Google is good with online maps

Here's the thing google maps is actually good to use even when i just walk to find a place its really accurate for me but it doesn't have offline map features. Here maps on the other hand has downloadable offline map packs but not accurate to use for online.

As of now nothing can beat here maps. And it is awesome on my Lumia.. Don't know about the future. Hope here will continue to beat Google in every aspect..

Here in California I was able to get public transit and walking directions in the offline mode on my Nexus 6P (HERE maps). It was for a 17mile walking/26mile driving route and it took nearly a minute to complete the search, but complete it did.

Stu... moreAs everyone said, offline maps only available for Android at the time the article is written at HERE 360. Think before bashing others. Even slight mistake can be backfired on you. :3
Anyway ... I have Google maps and HERE. HERE, obviously, for offline use, and Google maps for online use since it's PoI data is more mature in my area... Which means I only use Google maps when search for something and fallback when HERE unable to fulfil my needs. For everything else, I use HERE. :3
