I've got it in uk bcos i have vivo x5pro and it is (china) app store pushed update for me.. not it is second update I already have offline gmaps week ago..

Ye google seems to be expanding its traffic data. Istanbul recently received traffic info and I've noticed it's expanding to other big cities around the world.

Also, since last night I can see traffic report for Tehran, Iran.

Which is interestingly not available in Web view

Also it's worth noting that I use a GS3, running a 5.1.1 custom ROM, and have modified it to have google now in Iran (which is not available for other users)

Nice option.. Downloaded the Delhi NCR map data but why it is showing a validity of 28 days? Means one has to download the complete data again after 28 days? :-/

Even though NOKIA might have had HERE maps or even if android had HERE maps, Stability and Reliability is what a user looks out for. Google maps is any day better than what HERE maps provided.

But google maps has the most updated data and best route options. Google maps also has the most accurate traffic data and gives us the exact eta. so yes it is a big deal cuz now its offline and we can use it when we drive to places with low network coverage.

I'd love to see them providing us with an option to download maps state or country wise, even if it takes a lot of storage :)
But, even what they've come up with now is a welcome change :)
