Anonymous, 23 Nov 2015DxO reviewed 6P. A 5X review by DxO is still nowhere to be sightedIt's the same sensor. Only difference is software, which tbh sucks in 5X, camera lags and crashes.
GSMA should change their way to test the battery
measure certain phone with a different nits
and another phone with different nits ant try to say
this one is better than the other is absolutely ridiculous.
Horrible Camera and horrible battery-life. As expected.
AnonD-328513, 23 Nov 2015Camera isn't an issue in this one, as it's one of the best ones on the market atm. ref. dxomark.comDxO reviewed 6P. A 5X review by DxO is still nowhere to be sighted
specs are not all we should have in count...i prefer everything under good qualiy ..not the best because if u have something u think is the best then there is something average or bad with it... either processor, camera or battery ...i prefer battery over the other 2 because not all apps use all the strengh of high end devices and doesnt make 2 gb ram fell too little... about camera most of us are casual shooters ...so as long as u can capture ur moments with good detail thats it..... my choice is lg G2 ... i have not found a reason for exchange it yet.... maybe 2016 could have my right device but for now.... im not feeling that i should sell it or put it into a bag or something.... it still beats newer devices in camera processor screen quality with good ppi and most of all battery ... i dont see that n5x like a sucesor insted looks for em like a predecessor if u put all features mine has togheter
****GSMARENA****

Love my Z5... whats not to love about this phone?
That video time made me cry! But come to think of it. The OG 5 didn't have stellar battery life, so this one follows footsteps (unfortunately) under newer specs.
BTW GSMArena should make a huge list of phone with the battery life results.

raonaveen, 22 Nov 2015Camera and batterylife are top problems with nexus phones.Camera is not a problem with this nexus phone. It has one of the best cameras you can find in a smartphone. Also the battery is only a problem really with videos and maybe some heavy games. Gone is the pathetic standby time of old nexus. So many haters on here. The reasons I'm not getting one of these is the ram may not be sufficient in the future and I like to have a device with a flagship grade chipset/gpu.
Anonymous, 22 Nov 2015I'm so sorry for who bought nexus 5x.it is very poor in comparison to other flagships.and the ... moreWhat utter nonsense. First of all the 5X was never meant to compete with flagships. Secondly many reviews have pointed out how smooth the device runs. The ram is just about sufficient for day to day use.
Bit of a shame. Wish it had 3000+ like my moto X play

Android M was supposed to bump up the autonomy, but it cannot do that on N5X since the autonomy is so poor.
When you think of it, a 2700 juicer with a FHD resolution and a top of the line CPU show offer far better results.
Let's face it, this guy will not EVER GET 2 days and a half.
I'm getting great battery life on my Nexus 5x just as GSMarena, Anandtech, and all other reviews have said battery is good on this device. 4-5 hours SoT across 2 days of usage similar to what GSM has shown here. Awesome job for a phone with 2700mAh as it's beating many other devices which have 3000mAh such as Zenfone 2, LG V10, LG G4, G3 etc.
It also has one of the nicest IPS panels in a phone right now.
I use 50% brightness and almost all features remain enabled. Great job LG and Google.

AnonD-328513, 22 Nov 2015I'm pretty baffled by the battery life of my 5X, I barely use it atm and I'm still getting onl... moreHello,
If you look at your battery graph, you will notice that the device is in "Awake" state a lot of time. That is the real culprit. You will need to figure out why.
Puttin off "Ambient display, Daydream, Wi-Fi scanning, location, always-on mic, Now on tap" is a good start.
I have put OFF:
- Google Now on tap
- Location
- adaptative brightness (I put it manually on 15% to 20%)
- WiFi network notification (huge battery drain because it needs to WiFi scan all the time)
- Keep WiFi on during sleep
- "Ok Google" detection (this one was draining the battery like hell because the device could never go in deep sleep)
- Google (or any other account type like facebook) account sync to the minimum: I kept only Calendar / Contact / Gmail / Photos / Photos Backup.
One way to see what is going on on your device is to activate Developer Options (thru Settings) and then activate "USB debugging" and then connect your device to your laptop and issue a "adb shell top" command to see what is running. You can also take a bugreport and use "Battery Historian" to track what is draining the battery.
