Anonymous, 22 Nov 2015Good that Apple admits the problem. If hardware bug, then a refund or replacement is in order.... moreThe Samsung case is not a hardware defect. Samsung should not even have to put a warning sticker. A defect is when you try to do things the intended way and something still doesn't work or device gets damaged.
If you are idiot enough to stick your s-pen in the wrong way, the possibility of it getting stuck and damaging the device is obvious. It is the same kind of case as somebody sticking in a metal rod into the head phone jack or shorting the charging connector or heck even drilling a hole through the screen. Things get damaged when you do not use them properly and that applies for all gadgets. None of the Samsung Note devices were ever intentionally designed to allow the user to stick the s-pen in either direction. Even if nothing happened when you do such a thing with older the versions, it does not mean that all newer versions have to allow for such behavior. Ability to stick the s-pen the wrong way was never a specified behavior.
The iPad Pro case however is a hardware defect because the user is only trying to charge the device when this happens. The antenna gate of iPhone 4 is also a hardware defect because of the same reason. It happens when people try to hold the phone in a natural way that most people would do it.
Grenouille, 21 Nov 2015one word jasmeet: antennagate. Please explain

Whatever it is, hopefully not a Samsung-like solution: A sticker

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2015Apple sucks post-Jobs.Amen!
Apple has always had some problems but they are good in covering them up
My iPhone 4 after 3 months of use would go of by itself (and not to forget the network issues)
My iPhone 5 had a weaker WiFi antenna than my iPod 4
And my iPhone 6 didn't even last 3 weeks when it gave me the red screen
All of them were new phone my 4 & 5 were from t-mobile and my 6 from the apple store

but one does have to ask, how is the bug actually fixed. if it was a hardware issue , is the already underrated batter being software force to undercharge. so you have even less battery capacity. yet still showing 100%. leaves a lot of questions as to what caused the bug in the first place . not just that its been fixed. leaves out the how and why.
no if steve jobs was still around, apple would never admit this mistake. the sheep are just charging it wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!
