Because a) it's not a WinMo phone and b) cuz it doesn't meet the mandatory requirements for WinMo7, set by Microsoft.

No OS is ever outdated, its just gets repetitive, we need something fresh. Just getting a new feel UI is enough, it should retains its prowess and usability. Also should retain its strength for which it is liked and ofcourse the developer support and softwares.Microsoft has gone completely berserk…

Hey guys i think that HD2 is better of without Wp7 anyway. I'd take sense UI, external memory support and multitasking over new windows anyday

                                    3) Stylus input in addition to touch and qwerty

Would suck, I had the N900 and started to hate the slide out qwerty , even the touch qwerty on the N900 sucked. but anyway I dont think I would get another phone with a slide qwerty.
A Stylus is just a pain in the ass , as long as the keyboard software is as easy to use with fingers as the iphone and nexus one is it would be better without one.

If the HTC HD3 is for real I will be buying it (if its running windows phone 7). Im a fan of HTC phones got the nexus one and loving it , cant wait for windows phone 7 and if its on the "HTC HD3" I really cant wait.

I love the fact that MS put requirement for manufacturer to have front facing camera for video call as standard requirement. I just hate htc when they did not include that feature on HD2!!
