AnonD-447116, 23 Nov 2015Samsung is acting like a blind chicken. They are just guessing and dont have any direction,eve... moreSamsung is trying everything to revive flagships sales after three consecutive years (after peak of s3) of slump. That's why s6 and note 5 are so different compared to the usual s and note series. Even though samsung successfully created the prettiest samsung products ever, non-samsung fanboys aren't switching, so with the s7, they are at complete loss of direction. Apple, on the other hand, doesn't have as much features, and to some people, are not innovative, but they have two things going for them: 1) ios exclusive 2) 100% premium brand image.

AnonD-356282, 23 Nov 2015Doesn't say much about Samsung however if they did bring it back. It just show's their despera... moreNo. It just show they are evolving and daring to try something new. Samsung Blue Earth for example. Note Edge. Galaxy Round. Galaxy S6 series. Galaxy View. Gear VR. Gear S2. That is what I call 'innovation'. It is definitely not inconsistency. They are bold enough to keep changing. Even the CEO said they couldn't survived if they keep resisting changes. Constant changes is pretty much their concept now.

I'm just happy they are bringing it back.
If they curve all four sides on the s7 edge them I might just bye that one and skip the s7.

nice to hear that, i hv a galaxy S5 and i must say that the sd slots help me in many ways. if samsung can reintroduce the removable battery and sd slots as well, it wil be more interesting.

Dual heatpipes, 23 Nov 2015please take off the physical home button, it is ugly. The physical home button is always welcome in my book. I always use it to wake up the phone. Would you rather lose the phyiscal home button and have to use the power button to wake the phone? Don't even mention air-gesture to wake up the phone because having that on is going to deplete the battery quickly.

eMMC 5.0 with mSD slot vs USF 2.0 w/o slot?

I would pick USF 2.0, an OTG cable and a memory stick to solve any problem.

The microSD slot is important because it improves the phone, but the removable battery isn't going to happen and doesn't matter. What I really hope Samsung does bring back is the water resistance of the S line before the S6. Instead of copying apple, they need to think about how they can be premium and differentiated from apple like having the microSD slot and water resistance.

As a S6 Edge user, how I wish Samsung had given battery life priority over QHD screen gimmick which doesn't add a bit to screen quality but takes a toll on battery.

While the return of local storage is welcome news, it could kind of be supplemented by online storage (I wrote "kind of", before anyone think that I overstate things).

I doubt that replaceable battery would return though and there's a good reason for that. They try to complete on the "premium feel" race. Unfortunately that's probably the one thing that set Samsung apart more than others. Roomy battery but also replaceable.

A replaceable battery remains the only way to get "instant" 100%, extended battery (all using spares), "undying" battery (when it starts losing mAh you have it replaced). And since battery is the achilean heel of smartphones, solving just that issue is what differentiates a premium phone from a not so (certainly NOT unibody).
