Apple have never been into semiconductor fabrication, that not a mark against them, just a field they are not or have ever been involved in.
And they haven't just taken of the shelf components, the cup cores have been a custom design for the last three generations, the Exynos however (good soc's though they are) are pretty much just Arm's own ip in terms of cup & gpu cores, and as far as I know the rest of the components are from external sources as well.

Android manages to completely take that away, and limit it to when you install apps and when you turn the device on. Do you have a source?

It never was as snappy as running an OS natively right? Java+VM is a waste of CPU clock cycles which also means it is a waste of battery.

However, OLED has been improving greatly in current flagships thus reducing the burn in limitation that was experienced. I actually buy samsung just because of the Amoled screens. They are unmatched and before burn in sets in (which requires a lot of time) I have already upgraded to another samsung phone.

It makes the code compiled rather than interpreted, the same as iOS. It just does the interpreting part when you install the app.

Event chips were shipped from snapdragon, but that's not the point. Apple just buys a lot of stuff from all over the world and then modifies every last one of the components, of course to create an iPhone. Camera sensors "may be" the same on all the current flagships, but every one of them is modified/optimized differently, that's the point. How you all think apple handles competition with "just" a dual core proccessor? It puts a lot of work into every component, because originals are far away from perfect.

I just wanted to tell him that apple didnt just went to samsung and told them make some processors for me. They gave them design. What he was saying to some other guy is that samsung just made everything for apple. And 14 nm is a size. And those 3 companies invented and made machines to cut silicon very small. And yes the colors where saturated, but most LCD at that point were very under saturated and washed out with very weak brightness and contrast. And much much lower sunlight visibility.
It took about two generations before LCD got to a point where they had a comparable quality and had enough contrast and color accuracy to make any kind of claim of defense towards amoled.
And I'm talking back to the early 2009 Omnia HD which the Amoled at that time blew any other mobile display out the water and ball park.
