Samsung says the Galaxy Tab Pro won't ever get Lollipop or Marshmallow Comments

If the situation with my Galaxy Tab Pro is correct and my device is not going to get either of the firmware updates, its disgusting that Samsung are allowed to sell a product that isnt even mildly future proof.... So they sold me a dud right from the start....This will be my last Samsung product,think i will after suffer Apple... At least they get there updates....

I bought my Tab Pro 1 year ago and am being told there will no future update to my OS - Very disappointing to say the least. Major investment that will eventually die as apps progress to required OS that I won't have. In essence, I bought an obsolete product. What a shame and waste. Samsung has declared "End of Life" w/in one year. No more Samsung products for me.

That makes me one and done with Samsung tablets/phones.
It wouldn't have been quite so bad if they had at least more clearly communicated their intentions, but of course Samsung support is non-existent, and Tab Pro users have been left in limbo for the better part of a year.
Sammy should stick to making SSDs and leave products that require support to other manufacturers.

I will never, ever buy another Samsung tablet. I still have my Tab Pro 10.1, but don't use it very often. I just keep spreading the word that Samsung does not update their tablets and never will. Buy something else.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is in Slovenia in version 5.0.2...with new update (same os never functions at least).

i got this tablet and it's extremely fast. faster than my s5 which was extremely fast with kit-kat and after that got slower (not too slower but is slower instead of faster)...So...Even if they update the 8.4 Pro i will NEVER update it cause their updates suck. Sometimes i even think of formatting my s5 with kit-kat but im used to lollipop now and i'm not in a mood for changes.
When you produce 1001 different versions of mobiles and tablets , you CAN't support them. Thats why my next mobile will be a NexusWhatever even though samsung has the best hardwear and features.
I want a Nexus with samsung's camera and display, and google's non stop support. No apple no nothing can compete that. That's why i'm not a funboy. I'm a customer and i want something better than all apple samsung and other copies available...

Samsung is more and more becoming like Apple. Sooner or later, Samsung will merge with Apple. If that happens, the new brand name will be SamPple ^_^

well sammy fans should be happy with this great news ... all of u fight to the death that samsung is better in everything than other manufactures and u know what thats the problem.... after sales support is crap.... they abandon devices even with a year old .. and good hardware wich is a shame.....samsung main problem is that they develop same hardware and call it diffrene tin other countries .... and even worst the make a lot of tablets devices ... then they are unable to updater the whole thing.... they only update top of the line s models ,note and new a series ..if u are out of this then cry samy fan cry even louder to see if they want to give u a colorfull candy atleast.
ps: thast why i never purchase sammy they letdown a lot of people/.

I've noticed that mobile device OSes tend to drop off the radar a lot quicker after they've been superseded, and probably quickly become more at risk, whereas computer OSes tend to keep getting updates for a period after.

Why does everyone need to have the absolute latest OS again? Of course, it's okay to have the latest software; at the same time, it's also okay to not have to update so fast. KitKat is still fine, for the most part.

This response is a garbage company, so that we have the Cyanogenmod, thank them, the tab pro was one of the first 7 to receive the CM 13 Android 6.0!
