Those who are looking for the solution to the heating, hanging & battery drain issue after the new OTA, try below :
1. Uninstall Facebook
2. Uninstall Facebook Messenger
3. Disable Google+
4. Reboot the phone
5. Charge it above 20%
6. Install Facebook & Messenger
7. Keep Google+ disabled otherwise Dialer, Contacts & SMS Apps will crash.
If works for you, do share this solution. Seems to work for a few folks here.

A fix that was posted on the One Plus forums and as of now works for me:
-Uninstall Facebook+Facebook Messenger
-Disable Google+
-Reboot your phone
-Reinstall Facebook + Messenger if you want but keep Google+ disabled.
Tried it an hour ago and the black screens are gone for now.

After installing 2.2.3, the phone does not responds to any application. Several restarts have not yielded any positive results.
Currently I am using my phone in "Safe Mode". To use the phone in safe mode, press the power key and then keep holding the "Power Off" option for a longer duration. Then press Ok.

After upgrading One +X, it made life horrible. Phone not charging, Heating extraordinarily and making life miserable in this cutting edge of technology.
Dear OnePlusTeam thanks for taking out stable Oxygen from our phones and making it as good as DEAD metal box.
Do we have a solution to fix this without formatting it?

After the update phone cant charge past 64% phone is on fire and battery drains 15% per hour on standby. Lol. Want the previous version back plz

Too many issues propping up. Phone getting hanged and the apps not working. System UI failure. This is a serious problem since i work from my phone. Is there a fix? need it asap!!!

Today's update causing lot of problems: Phone hangs, even tried rebooting like more than 20 times from the morning, Screen blacks out. Unable to use phone at all.
Couldn't know phone is ringing or not.

What I did was I rebooted in the bios mode and factory reseted the whole phone. It has been a hectic day for me. Had to install all the apps but it's working better than before now. Couldn't know phone is ringing or not. Missing important calls. Missed a important meeting with client, may be i have to suffer some monetary loss too.
Not expected this highly unprofessional job with OnePlus team.

Hi,
I have received a notification today Sept28th for my Oneplus X. I have updated it but it has gone all wrong with me. Severe heating issues, battery draining regularly and I could not charge it. Although I kept in charging it was showing only 1% since 1 hour. Pathetic. Without testing or bugs fixing, don't send us the updates. I missed my interview call and much more imp calls today. I just went to service center and he will format the phone which also leads to missing of my personal photos. I have lost all of them now. Make sure One plus team works out well and fixes the bugs.
