I am still secretly hoping for no swivel camera. Pretty please!
How am I supposed to put a protective cover...one of those silicon sleeves if the camera needs to swivel! and knowing me, it will be dropped on average twice a month....my now 5yo iPhone4 has todate zero scratches on the back or front thanks only to the protective covers
Anonymous, 27 Nov 2015why would you put a case on that sweet sweet metal phone. you guys are the same people who bu... moreWell it could have a tendency to scratch, just like a lot of metal phones, who would like to have a scratched phone? (Take the M8 for example, that phone had a very fragile metal back) and, besides, when your phone drops without a case, you do take a bigger risk of damaging some internal components. That's why people with iPhone buy cases, because they know how their slippery phone would break and shatter on anything harder than a Marshmallow. Sorry, but a lot of people prefers protecting their phone rather than presuming the looks...
eAureliano, 27 Nov 2015I remember my Nokia N90. Yes, Me too, I miss my Nokia N90 as well with the ancien anf extinct S60 8.1 OS ...
eAureliano, 27 Nov 2015I remember my Nokia N90.Same. I suddenly feel nostalgic after read your post.
That is the last truly awesome Nokia phone.
so there's no video chat if the lens and the receiver are being designed this way. hmmm
Mildly genius. Note that not only the main camera is rotatable, but every other hardware that comes on the top portion including the earpiece and all else. If you take a second look, you could either see this as one with rotatable top part or a rotatable bottom part (from the screen all the way down the bottom)
Muruga2710, 26 Nov 2015i wonder how difficult it is to apply screen guard or tempered glassI imagine the screen protector would only go over the actual screen portion, rather than over all the glass as is normally standard with these style phones. That or a two-part one. Either could work.
dasman, 27 Nov 2015Huawei already done it with the 7i, Aldo the oppo n3. And that's not JUST a rotating camera... moreRotating stuff must be the trend now. If it as awesome as Gear S2 rotating bezel, I wouldn't mind.
I owned the Nokia 5700 and their design was so much better than this. It was one third of the phone rotating, not a small part of it, a small and long part of it as it can be seen in the pics.
I still think this is a very bad design and will break at some point, or even make the phone look ugly specially when it no longer aligns with the edges.
this is what i call different thinking, we need more companies like this
looks good to me.....
as long as dey dnt make it very fragile....
10 years ago did any of the users even use a screen protector for the full rotating Nokia 5700, nor with 3250 ?? if they have, then it must be the two pieces not the one piece screen protector and by the way in the past 10 years we don't have much knowledge about protecting our mobile phone, we, users only know how to use not to protect.
I think this is bad design, especially the rotating mechanism as it will loose overtime..
Peter From Poland, 26 Nov 2015What are you talking about ?? What problems ? o.O
There was no problems with full rotating N... morethat was the time, when if your nokia phone would fall on the floor, you would break the floor.
Same as other users already posted, i see a problem using cases here.
