There you have it. Terrible battery life, which is far from what is expected from a premium, flagship device. This especially should not be the case with a 3430 mAh battery.

The Z5 gets 5 hours more web browsing time and the screen is only 0.3 inches smaller yet the battery is 530mah smaller. the cancerous high PPI screen cancer has significant impact on battery life as you can see. Significant. HUGE impact.

But it would be more relevant to display only the current year flagships in those battery tests reviews instead of random phones with representative numbers. People like to compare current phones among them.

raonaveen, 29 Nov 2015U guys should have tested the 4k playback time also with 4k video. Just for the sake of it. It's a benchmark, so they need a same base among all phones. Not all phones have 4K displays or can play/record 4K videos.

Are you telling me that the dedicated decoder in the phone that lets the SoC pretty idle, drains more than surfing the web? It feels like GSMArena is using software decoder for movies for some phones and hardware for others.

Is there a reason why battery isn't normalised and just uses whatever the phone decides is 50% on an unlinear scale? Seems like an unnecessary distortion. At the very least since it's a battery endurance test it should just use the minimum the phone can go, or use the same brightness or something.
