With all the note 5 minuses and the fact that it will be on the market 6months later.. i.e. obsolete device...
I suppose if the price is right it still has a chance.. it should cost £450 for the 64gb version (32gb is ridiculous)
its too late
Too little, too late. Will there be at least a 64 GB, ideally 128 GB version? By the time this hits the shops it will be in competition with next generation devices that will most likely outperform it etc. Even the Note 6 won't be that far off by then.
who cares,, by time it arrives u can better wait for the real s7 instead newer hardware.
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2015well now we see that note5 has bad sales... even not sale yet in Europe.... lol without rem... moreNote 4 is better with the 5.1.1 update
AnonD-292897, 04 Dec 2015You can already get them in Europe easily. I got mine last week for 550eur (you just can't get... more550€ is not bad. Sadly will need to add 100 more here. 650€
I am from Bosna & Herzegovina, we are in Europe (not in European union), and here we have Note 5 on sale for 2-3 months, now NEW unit costs about 580 Euro.
Well, no simm-memory slot no FM-radio, then only if it's 64 or 128gb model...otherwise i won't look at it, but i'll keep my note2 and note edge.
AnonD-364786, 04 Dec 2015Agreed.
Note 4s poor sales might have forced them not to introduce note 5.well now we see that note5 has bad sales... even not sale yet in Europe.... lol
without removable battery and sd card its just useless for power users
still note4 for the win :)
AnonD-133890, 04 Dec 2015I hope that this move means price of note 4 will drop down significantly. That is Romania :)
Here with 3-4 euro contract u get up to 5GB trafic for internet :P
Why bother? Won't the S7 be out by then?
Without removable microSD, and without removable battery, it's useless.
my note 4 has only 12 months, and the battery holds about 40% charge!!!
in just a month, it has degraded drastically.
at first, the phone started switching off at 5%, then 17%, and now at 57%!
at least this one (note 4) still has removable battery so i can easily replace it...
and monitor its physical state - to make sure it does not inflate.
with Note 5, no such luck.
so we'll skip Note 5, will wait and see if Samsung (or its rivals) will offer a decent product next year.
Its too late for Samsung, people have gone with iPhones 6s and 6s plus and other phones..
I work in Three phone retailer in UK and I can tell you I hear a lot of people turning down the S6 edge plus because they all wanted the note 5 but sadly Samsung Screwed up big time. And I think its stupid trying to sell it now when the Galaxy S7 will launch no more than 8 weeks later. I think for my upgrade I am just gonna go with the S7 because the Note 5 will be last years phone by then.
You can already get them in Europe easily. I got mine last week for 550eur (you just can't get them on contract).
...and yes, I'm furious about the battery, sd card and scared for the glass back, but I patiently waited for the competition - they did NOTHING, so I pretty much had no choice.
AnonD-447116, 04 Dec 2015Everyone always says that they prefer the Note series more, but sales prove it different every... moreBut the note 5 isn't a true successor because it lacks removable storage and battery. I wanted one till it was announced.
Most unfortunately, the Note 5 has sealed battery - contrary to Note 4.
AnonD-133890, 04 Dec 2015I hope that this move means price of note 4 will drop down significantly. No it wont, as you can see even after the note 4 and the A7 hit the market, the Note 3 is still more then 350 euros. Samsung is expensive... :(
Everyone always says that they prefer the Note series more, but sales prove it different every time. Samsung made a good move, they concentrated on the model for the masses and its the S6 edge +
Samsung wanted to push and prormote S6+ in Europe (instead of note5). A premium smartphone phablet against iphone6s+, lg4, etc..But marketing in Europe at January 2015, dont know how wise it should be (for Samsung profits). However i would prefer Note5.
