These phones better be thin and sexy
Flagship in all sizes, I like that, I wait for 5.7+ but so far nothing. Samsung may shine with its foldable tech, but sony still make right move. I just hope they wont make mistake to change a little in camera with 1 gen as it was until z4. Change in generations z4 to z5 is how it should be.
Wow...when is it coming out!!! ??? I'm about thinking to buy the Z5 compact and already talking about Z6! I've not even digested the 5 yet!
Don't forget that up to 3 years ago the most sold phone on earth was 3.5' iphone 4s and everibody was happy with it. I would like to see that size again on a decent midranger, not those 512MB ram junk.
And last year (2014) the most sold was... guess what... 4' iphone 5s.
While the smaller androds were under par or, like Moto E, so bulky to make irrelevant the screen size.
duder, 04 Dec 2015I think the edges are still too thick! New galaxy phones coming up will have much thinner edge... moreHaha Sony is still Best.
I love it so much because SONY is Adorable 📱.

This is insane, it sounds like they're just throwing everything at the wall to see what will stick.
It's fine that Sony has opted for the apple strategy of premium phones for a premium price. What is not fine is to mix that with the samsung strategy of flooding the market with dozens of models at every price bracket. As if releasing a flagship every six months wasn't confusing already.
So when Android N rolls out next year, Sony will have to update their brand new Z7 line, their six Z6 models, their entire Z5 line and Z3+ to at least keep up with the Android industry standard of two year updates. Do any less than that, and you lose all rights to call your phones "premium".
I WANT 4.8 and 5.0 INCH PHONES.......................................
Yessssss, he return of the 4 inche(r)s at last. Decent 4' had disappered, the only one remaining the old iphone 5s, but next year with 6c it will return too. Both of them will be pricey, but it's a good way for expecting other cheaper but good 4' midrangers. The last one was S3mini, still unrivaled as for 'pocketabilty': thin bezels and roundshaped. Still waiting for its successor, its overall dimensions are the max for me, not a nm more :)
OK done, keep the 5.2-inch display & I'll keep my money to not waist in such small screen

This sounds amazing. I am postponing switching Huawei Mate 7 with Mate 8 to see if Sony will make new Xperia Z Ultra.
How about they add a 7-incher to make it a total of 6 flagships?
I love you Sony so so so so muccccch
Sony still releasing flagships every 6 month? huh.
They can't even take care of the 3 phones they just launched (Z5 family) and now want to realease 5? FFS.
They're having problems cause they can't control their phones being comparable one to another, (Buttoms on Z5c are softer, Z5c has more blurred edge photos than regular Z5, Z5C overheats more, Z5c had a touchscreen problem just the white color version? dafuq?
First they gotta work on manufacturing and engineering equality.
I believe Sony will launch only 1-2 models of Xperia Z6 and the other will be launched as Z7 family. Just like few years back, the even numbers (Z, Z2, Z4, est. Z6) were for market response benchmark/experimental and usually came up at Q1-Q2 of the year, and the actual launch were the odd numbers (Z1, Z3, Z5, est. Z7) usually came up at Q3-Q4 of the year.
So, the Z5 Premium is a one off product. That's fine! My Z5 Premium Dual in Chrome will be with me for two years minimum...
I think the edges are still too thick! New galaxy phones coming up will have much thinner edges!
Other than that (which is not a small thing) looks good. But will probably not choose this one if this is the case.
