Anonymous, 04 Dec 2015That's how Apple gets its income: sueing companies, not selling phones. Shame on you.I agree. When I first heard of Apple I always thought it was a law firm company because they always involved in court cases and sueing activity. I wonder what they really do? It seem their main job is to target only at Samsung and sueing them as much as they can meanwhile HTC and Oppo get away with a complete iphone 6 clone without getting sued at all. It just too obvious Apple are such a money grubber company.

Apple isn't very good at ... morefor samsung fanboys ignorance is a bliss !!!
if designing fab is easy then why no one gives much importance to TSMC , who is far ahead of samsung fab in many aspects ??
samsung is really good on only one thing ... hint copying
Anonymous, 05 Dec 2015Designing processors is easy compared to designing fab processes. Apple isn't very good at ... moreOnce all the low-hanging fruit is picked, it gets very, very difficult. Look at Intel, Sandy Bridge built on 32nm planar, Skylake on 14nm FinFET yet only 25% IPC increase over 4.5 years.
Anonymous, 05 Dec 2015Also, as of this date, Apple still can't figure out how to embed LTE modems into the CPU die, ... moreDoes Qualcomm allow others to integrate their modems into the SoC? Doubt it.
Applesexual, 05 Dec 2015The A9 is an SoC. You don't seem to know what you're talking about. The other guy is right,... moreSo a branch predictor is the whole CPU to you? Nice to know that, where can I buy CPUs designed by you?
Grey1213, 05 Dec 2015Funny how you think the number of cores is relevant here. You're just telling everyone what a ... moreThe CPU they have in the A9 has literally double the IPC of Cortex-A15. If this isn't impressive to you, go back to using AMD CPUs on desktops.
Good.Maybe now Samsung will learn to use their own designs and not copy.

I think Samsung are doing it here lol http://bgr.com/2015/12/04/samsung-execs-insider-trading-allegations/

Take some pride in building your own stuff. Its like buying your Olympic Gold. Where is your sense of pride! if you are one of the biggest Tech giants in the world, cant you have your own backyard filled with your own stuff rather than packaging stuff from others and selling at 50x the base cost! How can you live with this feeling?
mcknight, 05 Dec 2015and fyi samsung latest flagships using exynos as well including the note 5..just dont gv me sh... moreFunny how you think the number of cores is relevant here. You're just telling everyone what a tech illiterate you are.
Chips have a 12 month life cycle, and are a product that has very fast tech advancements, having over 6 months more time means your product should be better. However the only good thing about the a9 is the GPU, which isn't even Apple's, and it only shines because of the low resolution.
Never seen a greedy company like that, they`r buying everything and using Samsung to make SoC and then requesting money for what? they`r so full of themselves and fooling people around the world. And those people are buying iphone and thinking this is a best? where this world is turning into, most of them does not know any word in technology but if u ask them, they`r all Einsteins and apple is best, ofc kidding with them? :D
logically it`s true, fooling a fool is quite easy :)
mcknight, 05 Dec 2015and fyi samsung latest flagships using exynos as well including the note 5..just dont gv me sh... moreThe Apple A series CPU's were originally custom ARM designs developed by Intrinsity in collaboration and with help from Samsung. Apple acquired Intrinsity to get that technology. They didn't develop it themselves. Even now, these SoC's are designed by the Intrinsity team, but since they don't have fab units, Samsung manufactures it for them. Almost all of Apple's technology is either outsourced or purchased. Even their multi touch screen tech was acquired by buying out a Finnish company which went bankrupt because this every touch screen tech was a failure due to some design level defects. Even Retina Display is nothing more a buzz word created to market higher resolution displays made by LG.
[deleted post]The A9 is an SoC. You don't seem to know what you're talking about.
The other guy is right, by the way. Apple just repackager tech from other companies.
The only component they designed was the CPU, and that was stolen from the uni of wisconsin.
[deleted post]Let's say you made a car but all the parts in the car are made by others. So people can't praise you for making a car?
[deleted post]and fyi samsung latest flagships using exynos as well including the note 5..just dont gv me shitty excuses that A9 atau A8 came out later after the exynos thingy..exynos still has more cores than A8 or A9/X but yet still lose to Apple's finest
