Apple use Samsung hardware but they like to sue the crap out of anything and everything. Will never buy any filthy Apple products ever :)
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2015Do we even know what this is about? This is the original lawsuit from like 5 years or so ago? Something like that. Damn I feel old.

Samsung agreed to th... moreYes, Samsung terminated the agreement once Microsoft announced their acquisition of Nokia, because Microsoft was now a direct competitor in the handset arena as opposed to a software vendor. This changed the initial terms of the contract, which Samsung feels voided the agreement, and they stopped paying.
There is a fine line between protecting patents and engaging in anti-competitive behavior. Sometimes I wonder whether Apple crosses that line in their never ending pursuit to protect their 'rights'. Microsoft has been slapped down a number of times for anti-competitive practices but big companies pay millions to lawyers to help them get away with as much as possible to protect their bottom-line. This is being monopolistic rather than behaving in the true spirit of capitalism it seems to me.
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2015That's how Apple gets its income: sueing companies, not selling phones. Shame on you. That's right
At this point honestly, all this legal bickering is to save face on both sides, $548 million is chump change for how much Samsung reaped from the alleged infringing devices, and by now, Apple is no longer the player it was in the smartphone market to command billion dollar judgements..
Isn't MS also suing Samsung for not paying $100+ million in license fees? Samsung agreed to the fees but stopped after a few payments.
