I'm ok with it. Typing this post on my ASUS T100TA. I use it for conference room discussions and cafe meetings. For working on the road, I'm still able to use my Samsung Note II. For heavier work, I go to my i7 desktop at the office or i3 at desktop at home. the right tool for the right job. No, I don't play games.

I already went to ask the store and they said 1tb version is currently unavailable. They have the 500gb version though but the ram is 16gb. I need only 8gb ram. Not a crazy gamer. The 8gb ram version is cheaper but only 256gb internal. Even worst, Core i7 is unavailable too. Only Core i5. Microsoft need to work harder. Seriously, its the holiday season and how could they out of stock already??

I am using 10 inches atom windows tablet, and it is a torture even for browsing. My final decision is to go for 13.3 inches ultra book with the new core M processors, for the perfect balance between mobility and performance.

Not everyone is an idiot. And would rather get those below $1,000 units with some of them having bought the tablet first. Meanwhile, Since the detacheable keyboard from the apple is too expensive. There are now alternatives to get a detacheable keyboard. And to some of them have backlit keyboard. Which is much better and is budget friendly than having an apple keyboard. If ipencil is not a users choice. There's the wacom intuos creative stylus 2 which are made for the ipad air 2. But there are some of them have tried using it on the ipad pro and was successful.
If ios isn't users choice. There's pixel C, asus transformer pad, sony xperia z4 from which are sold separately.
So getting a hybrid tablet/laptop is now much easier and which can be more enjoyable like owning a surface pro 4's i7 spec.

I wish microsoft would out 4k screen & 6700HQ for that price(as detachable 2in1 tablet/notebook), I really miss that power and full 4k resolution in that most productive piece of art.

I'm running my n... morethe Microsoft 'tablets' before surface 3 was failure. but when they released surface pro 3 against macbook air it became a success. and they did the same with surface pro4 and its also a success. since phones have enough size and power tablets are already out of scope. now it is the age of phones hybrids and bigger laptop. so either concentrating on phone or laptop is good to capture it's market. but as Microsoft has most suitable OS for hybrid devices it has a future in this. in phone ios or Android is winners. in laptops windows is big winner and Mac is a competitor, surface book gave manufactures the confidence to work against mac's premium laptop market. in hybrid devices windows has no serious competition.

Have surface RT and Surface pro 3. Sold rest of tablets. But i still have a gaming rig. Cant replace that yet.

Still using my Surface 2, and it's great for all my MS Office needs, reading PDF books and surfing the net. With keyboard attached, I wrote all my papers for my graduate schooling with this baby - no worries about viruses either because it's RT, and has a full USB 3.0 port. Thin, light, and productive. Better than having an iPad. Prevents me from playing my Steam games - LOL.
