As for tablets with a pen, flagship is surface. As for detachable cheap tablets, they were always best, just majority was not aware. To have light main body + additional battery with keyboard, slots and ability to change positions like with notebooks, is best all-in-one course. Shame there is nothing better in android world than 2yrs old asus tf701t. There are heavy ones(10.000mAh), light ones(6.000mAh) but nothing near that 12.000mAh with half weight when handheld.

I'm running my note tablet as both my tablet/notepad and my netbook (detachable keyboard + linux) since 2013.

Microsoft tries to do the same but they suck as tablets and are only adequate as laptops, so I expect Apple and Google to take the pie as they're decents tablets and they may learn to be decent laptops (by contrast Microsoft products are not going to learn to be decent tablets even if one million years pass, they just don't get it),

I agree with detachable keyboard will replace traditional laptop and netbook. Androi or IOS tablet is useless anyway. Windows hybrid laptop/tablet is more useful and productive.
