[deleted post]Operaminis r free.hahaha.thats d mindset of iphone user.you have to buy anythng jaz to incorporate it on iphone.
I don't see the point in this; Opera has been painfully slow on every device i've used it on (Various Nokias, HTCs (Android & WinMo) and HPs), except for the HD2. Maybe they should spend more time developing for all the other platforms before spending all this time developing for the iPhone (which already has a perfect browser), which will probably get turned away from the App Store knowing Apple anyway.
From the Opera Mini FAQ:-
Is there any end-to-end security between my handset and — for example — paypal.com or my bank?
No. If you need full end-to-end encryption, you should use a full Web browser such as Opera Mobile.
I'll stick to Safari, I don't need a cut down browser.
If Apple approve this, then it will be huge. However, I'm happy enough with Safari at the moment.
I love these iphone news stories, it brings out all the envious trolls.
The iphone is a great device. Get used to it.
Common guys don't tell me that u guys can't use the mini browser on iphone
It'll probably be declined because apple doesn't want competition. Maybe they'll sue opera for making it look similar to safari? I predict this will happen.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2010go for it then! don't forget to post it on youtube though for us to laugh at!Dont you worry about that it will be on there straight away for you to knock one off too. Just hope my nuts don't get stuck in the sharks teeth.

Will they add Opera Mini to compete against Apple Safari?
apple, again? i think they trying to brainwash people becoz of that apples patent issues.. wake-up guys.
..so much for the famous apple apps. and safari browser.
i can download this to any java phone 20 times cheaper than iphone
3 years to put this browser on the iphone......wow i was using opera on my E70,N76 and 5800.......apple is to sad
they might sue the company that makes opera if it doesn't make them money
cause apple will sue for anything aslong as there is money involved
Hopefully they approve it, it's an excellent browser. I've been using the beta of Mini 5 on my Hero and it works just fine. The only complaint I have is the lack of multitouch and pinch-zooming.
Great cant wait! Been avoiding every other browser on my iphone as i wanted to avoid high data charges and had this on my old phone. Finally i can browse the web on my iphone.
