Anonymous, 08 Dec 2015Staying in China and India are their best strategy. While China is another story, India has one of the most strict papent enforcement regime.
In the case of Sony Ericsson vs Xiaomi Indian court granted exparte injection which would have been very difficult elsewhere including USA.
The propaganda that India has lax patent enforcement is spread by US pharmaceutical giants. Actually India has very high standards in ppatent grants. If your patent is granted in India , it is unlikely to be rejected elsewhere.
Yeah, just more trolls fishing for money from a successful company. I'm an American and America has a lot of great things about it, but the patent system is NOT one of them.
BoxCutter, 07 Dec 2015Just because its website doesn't reveal any products or clients does not imply a patent troll.... moreYes,it's a patent troll or how else would you define a company without any known clients who periodically sue others for patent infringement..
Such a Huge problem in that part of world.
Just look at the number of cell mfgs that have been created in recent years.
Anonymous, 07 Dec 2015I think for the patent to valid it needs to have a product that make use of that patent within... moreYou do not need to have a product actually using the patented technology to own a patent. So, it still means that the company needn't be a patent troll just because of that point. However, going by the reported history of filing law suites against other companies, it is a safe guess
BoxCutter, 07 Dec 2015Just because its website doesn't reveal any products or clients does not imply a patent troll.... moreI think for the patent to valid it needs to have a product that make use of that patent within a certain numbers of years of having it approved? Else it is just a patent troll i think.
Just because its website doesn't reveal any products or clients does not imply a patent troll. You're one irresponsible reporter.
its time for China Gov to pressure the US company. if china just let Mi Collapse , then the whole market china made should go into law suit as well.
