phones an absoloute legend, does evything you could want and more, shame bout no flash on cam but apart from that takes gd quality photos in daylight and videos are superb, yes id say it looks like and iphone but whats wrong with taken something gd and making it three times better, blows the iphone out the water along with anything else, do hope 2.2 update is available tho, dnt let me down samsung.
the solution to your firmware update issue would be ROOT.
sooner or later or in the future.. you will be able to easily install any android firmware on your phone.. just like jailbreaking an iphone..
The problem is it is "Heavily customized". That means it will not be easily upgradable to Android 2.2 or 2.3(when it becomes available end of 2010)
passerby, 29 May 2010think u're talking about the galaxy spica.. haha, i also saw that at m1 sold. but its one mode... morenope he's right just got to singtel shop https://www.singtelshop.com/
I have heard lots of i7500 users complaining that SamSung not upgrading its firmware for old phones, I'm afraid if I bought i9000, I would be regret next year for not having any firmware upgrade from SamSung if Google happen to haven Android 2.3 or something new....
From my current survey/reading, Motorola does a great job in firmware supporting...HTC is fine...SamSung I just read a lots of complaints, any ideas??

Actually in Singapore, you can the phone for free with a SGD95/mth plan. It goes at SGD398 for a SGD39/mth plan. I would say that the price is reasonable enough and furthermore, it is cheaper than the HTC desire.
without prisetag and specifications it is impossible to rate it. it seems it is a nice phone with extraordinary prisetag.
qadeer, 24 Mar 2010look at the shape of the samsung mobiles. ugly, pathetic. can they ever produce a sexy handset... moreI had to comment on this one. I just looked at the LG phone you mentioned and I remember it seeing at a Vodafone shop. That LG bl40 looks like a TV remote. Before you make a big statement about design at least make sure you don't have a bad taste. Well obviously you do but you should keep it to your self.
This device was listed on play.com in the UK for £399.99 SIM free, they have now removed the price, but google product search still displays the £399.99 price, good price for the spec and is inline with the Samsung wave price play.com has already mentioned
the product detail for Galaxy S
