Why would I buy a 4.7 inch handset at that cost. There are lots of better "value for money" options. Not to mention it just "boasts" of 1.5gb ram and no fingerprint scanner.

I think so Samsung is not interested to capture the market more efficiently with help of price factor.The A series of 2016 is too much expensive related its specification its price according to market is trend. I expect the price of this series is
A3 $260
A5 $320
A7 $399

Why is the A5 so expensive compared to the J5 ? Internals are the same , same processor , same specs camera . Smaller SD card capacity , slightly more ram and Gorilla glass on the A5 though ( screen protection should really be standard in this day and age though .
